Gov Cumo certified Idiot

Staking out the radical left for 2016, NY Gov Andy Cumo told NYers that there was no place in a pretty big state for NYers who are “pro life,” who are “pro assault weapon,” and/or are “anti gay.”  There’s a lot there to parse.  First off in an effort to walk back his idiocy a bit, the Gov took exception to certain people on the right saying Gov. wanted pro lifers, pro gun, pro traditional marriage people to leave the state.  Gov Cumo says he never said they “should leave the state."  OK fine those words were never uttered, but if you “have no place” in NY where do stand, sit, lie down or live in a state that has “no place” for you?  I would think if you pulled up to a motel and walked into the office and the manager said there’s “no place for you", you’d go back to your car and drive up the road, so.

But look at the language.  There is no place for someone who is “pro life.”  Odd huh?  Does that mean people who oppose capital punishment should leave Cumo’s state?  Yeah he’s arrogant enough to regard NY as “his state.”  When did Pro life become a bad thing?  Separate that term from the abortion issue and you’d think about 99.99999% would be pro life.  The fact is that with the advances in ultrasound technology, on the eve of the Roe Supreme Court decision, more and more people are becoming “pro life.”   And here’s the crusher for the left, the largest growth is among young people where a majority when confronted with an ultrasound picture believe that what they are looking at is a baby.  The rest are just trying to kid themselves.

With regard to “pro assault weapons,” I’d accept the Gov’s premise if he could define the term “assault weapon” in less than one type written page that didn’t include nearly every weapon out there.  The fact is Cumo, like most on the left, is absolutely clueless about guns.  Are semi-automatic hand guns OK?  No.  Are revolvers OK?  No.  Are pump shotguns OK?  No.  Are double barrel shotguns OK?  No.  Are rifles OK?  That depends, is it an assault weapon?  Semi automatic hunting rifle?  No.  Bolt action then?  No.  Here’s the truth about Cumo and most on the left, unless it’s used by someone assigned to protect their own worthless azzes, they are against ALL guns.  If they cannot control the gun, they will control the ammo.  If not the ammo, then they will control the sale of the weapon.  If they cannot control that, they will control where and when you can carry it.  Hey America, it’s all CONTROL.

Anti-gay?  What’s that?  I assume he’s talking about anti gay marriage.  So if you hold the same position as every other prominent Demo-Dope as little as a year and a half ago, you’re a bigot.  If you read and believe the Bible, but hate NO ONE like Phil Robertson, you’re a bigot.  As is often the case with those on the left, there is more hate and intolerance in Como's own statement than there is in anyone at whom his intolerant statement is directed.

I’ve telling Mrs. Lex that we should go to NY and see the sites.  I want to go to the city and to West Point.  I will probably opt to go somewhere where I feel bit more welcome.  Omaha, NE is intriguing now for some reason I can’t quite put my finger on.

From the YGBSM file
Apparently Staples has a plan to team with the Post Office to provide some postal service in Staples stores. In 3, 2, 1, right on cue Postal Union thugs started whining.  The move, they claim, will threaten union Postal jobs.  Huh?  Hello!  Postal union!  Anyone home?

Staples is going to kill the Post Office?  Earth to postal union, you’re on your death bed now, IDIOTS.  You’d think that anyone willing to team up with a dying dinosaur would be appreciated by the sick dinosaur.  Nope.  “Let me die in peace, quickly, you bastard” shouted the sickly dinosaur.  Staples asked, “Please just let me take the 9 inch knife called the Internet from the middle of your back.”  “No!  I’m fine.  Go away.”  Suit yourself.

Just a couple of things

Defining success down
Yahoo picked up a piece from a web site called wallstcheatsheet.com.  The article ran under the hopeful headline “9 Detroit vehicles that prove the auto bailout was a success.”  Turns out 3 of the 9 vehicles listed were Fords.   Does wallscheatsheet.com and Yahoo know that Ford didn’t take the bailout?  3 of the vehicles on a list of 9, on the list are Fords.  That's a pretty high fraction for an article about a "successful bailout."  And if the bailout was sooooooo successful, why the hell doesn’t GM pay back ALL the money it owes us?  GM still owes 13 billion and change.  Maybe Paul Ryan could draft a 38,000 page bill requiring them to fork over 6 billion of the 13 they owe over the next ten years and leave retiree’s pensions alone.

A fitting tribute to our first half-black king on MLK day
King Crybaby played one of his race cards from his never ending stack of race cards Sunday.  In an interview with The New Yorker King Whiner claimed that his approval ratings had been falling through the floor due to…wait for it…wait for it…wait for it…RAAAAAAAAAAAACSM.  King SFB said, “There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black president.”  Hmm, well HALF black anyway.

As a percentage, I’d guess there are as many minos who didn’t like your 43 predecessors because they were white.  The really big difference is that other 43 were not whining hyper sensitive crybaby PsOS.

See, King Pantload can’t be unpopular because Robertscare is an unmitigated disaster.  No.  That CANNOT be it.  Nor can it be due the two dozen or so scandals King SFB has “unwittingly” presided over.  (See the post under.)  Nope. Not at all.   Nor the fact the King Clueless has held exactly ZERO people responsible for any of the scandals.  No, never.  A failed TRILLION dollar stimulus and five years of 7+% unemployment cannot be contributing factors to King Airhead’s falling numbers.  No way.  Why even bring that up?   It can’t be because even the king’s Lib enablers recognize him as the SFB lying piece of excrement that he is.  Oh no.  That’s not it.  The ONLY reason King Knownothing’s numbers are in the toilet is because he’s half black and the same America that elected him twice is racist as hell.  Yeah, there you go.  That’s the ticket.

Will our next president, if we get to have one, be able to play the race card in lieu of admitting that he’s a clueless dumbass and just not up to the job?

House Rats pass unread legislation to balance budget on the backs of military retirees

Lex's letter to his representative:
Dear Representative Stutzman,

I see where you supported HR 3547.  Why?  Did you read the 1,600 page bill?  Or are you of the opinion that legislation should be passed so “we can find out what’s in it?”  If you did not read it, why not?  Did you learn anything about unread and unwieldy legislation from the ACA?

Paul Ryan’s bill attempts to bring a runaway budget under control by penalizing military retirees.  Are there no other places in a trillion dollar budget to achieve a 6 billion dollar savings over ten years?  Are there no duplicative government programs that that could be combined or eliminated to achieve these savings?  Is there no fraud waste and abuse that can be eliminated for the savings?  Are there no down right foolish and wasteful government programs that could be eliminated?

I understand that my government will continue to advertise for food stamp recipients in Mexico.  Why?  Why are we advertising for food stamp recipients at all?  How much is it going to cost to exempt and/or subsidize congress and their staffers from the ACA?  How much is being spent on government conferences like the GSA boondoggle in Las Vegas?  How much is being spent on the platoon of unelected, unconfirmed and unaccountable White House Czars and their staffs?  How much did it cost to shut down open air monuments in D.C. and across the country during the supposed government shutdown?  How much is being funneled to one failed “green energy” experiment after another?  Would AL Senator Jeff Session’s plan to achieve the 6 billion in savings by closing tax loopholes for ILLEGAL aliens have been a better idea than balancing the budget on the backs of military retirees?  Is HR 3547 really the best this congress and house Republicans can do?

As a retired military man, I’m happy to do my share.  I consider it my duty to do my share.  But it would seem “my share” is the only share.  Why not cut every single federal pension in the same fashion as HR 3547 cuts military pensions?  Why not cut welfare, unemployment, section 8 housing, food stamps etc. in the same fashion?  Why does this burden of “sacrifice” fall solely on military retirees?

I’d like to think that I’m a typical 3rd District Republican voter.  I know this because when I sent Senator Lugar a note telling him I’d never vote for him again, he was out.  When I sent Mark Sauder a note telling him I’d never vote for him again, he was out, admittedly by his own hand but none-the-less out.  My one vote means nothing to you, but I think I’m representative of a whole bunch of votes in this district.

"Irresponsible” is the one word descriptor for your vote in favor of this monstrosity.

In defense of Jameis Winston

Winston is by no means the exception when it comes to “student” athletes.  It would be easier to find bigfoot using the payphone outside a S.S. Kresge’s five and dime with his Delorian double parked than a big name “student” athlete on the campus of a major American university.  Athlete, sure.  “Student” uh, no.

Given grade inflation and the pathetic academic standards at most universities these days, you’d think it would be easy to be a good student.  Bill Bennett said America has a great K-12 education system.  It just takes 16 years to get through it.  Sadly, America’s universities are providing the education that mom and dad received in high school.  I suppose that is why people say, “These days you have to have a college degree.”  You have to have it because it really means, after college, you might know what the last generation knew in high school. Not having it I suppose is the equivalent of being a high school drop out 20 years ago.

So why isn’t something done?  There are two reasons.  The first is money.  As long as universities stand to gain so much money from TV and logo merchandizing, they are incentivized to field good teams no matter what.  Poor grades?  No problem.  Stole a computer from another student?  No problem.  Rape charges?  No problem.  Assault charges?  No problem.  Drug charges?  No problem.  I cannot think of one thing short of murder that universities have not been willing to cover up in the name of protecting coaches, players and teams.

The second is racism.  Of course it is.  In today’s post racial King Dopesalot era, racism taints everything.  Weird huh?  We elect a half black president twice, yet according to the race baiting industry we are more racist than ever.  Post racial my big butt.

Big time college football and basketball – the cash cows in the athletic departments of most universities – are dominated by black athletes.  So anything that is done in a good faith effort to strengthen academic or character standards of college athletes is seen as racist.

To fix this I’d do the following:
Scholarships would be tied to the graduation percentages of a program.  So if you have a 100 football scholarships but your graduation percentage for the football team over a 5 year period (sure give them an extra year) is 65%, you only have 65 scholarships available for that year.  If the percentage goes up next year so does the number of scholarships.  Here’s why this is important.  When Johnny football Manziel left Texas A&M after just 2 years, he wrote a letter to the university thanking them for the opportunity to play football at Texas A&M.  An ESPN commentator noted that his good bye letter was probably the longest paper Manziel ever wrote while at Texas A&M.  Who in the name of Pete is being well-served by this kind of system?  The focus of college athletics should be returned to the “college” portion of the equation.

Next, freshmen should be required to sit out their first year.  The NCAA used to require that athletes sit out their first year.  This was considered racist because it was keeping the black athlete from jumping to the pros for a full year.  What is the point of college athletics?  Field teams of student athletes or provide a regular supply line of uneducated athletes to the pros?

Last, I’d consider some scheme whereby universities had to recruit local athletes first.  Concentric circles based on population could be established with fewer and fewer scholarships being available the further from the university the athlete had to travel.

I know.  The college football season is long over.  Iran has been given the green light by King SFB to develop a nuke bomb.  Al Qaida is on the march.  N. Korea is a mess.  Liberty is being eroded bit by bit day by day.  The world is basically going to hell in a hand basket, so why a post on college “student” athletes?  First, I think the system is symptomatic of bigger problems in America, race, privilege, ever decreasing standards, etc., but it’s just what was bugging me this A.M.

Yes, count me against government enforced "equality"

Jameis Winston’s post game interview explained.

AJ McCarron’s mom was right about Winston's speaking ability, but we all now know that truth is no defense when dealing with a protected class.  We can expect more and more protected classes as King Flimflam’s “equality” push takes hold among the young know nothings.  Instead of seeking to raise young Jameis’ ability to speak the King’s English to an average level, we will instead, under King Subpar, bring everyone else down to Jameis’ level.

Instead of raising Jameis up a level where he is capable of speaking like an average guy, so as not sound like an ignorant fool or worse stupid thug, the king’s equality program will seek to make everyone sound as ignorant as Jameis.  Or at least not ask, “How the hell does a guy that cannot speak graduate high school and get accepted to a well known college?”  We all know the answer to the second question.  He can throw a football with great accuracy.  The link above explains the answer to the first.

In the name of diversity, our universities are now monuments to sameness of thought, to the extent that any thinking is taking place on today’s campus.  Victor Davis Hanson noted that there is a rise in the number of degrees in “studies” of all sorts, African studies, women’s studies, transgender studies, etc. where the only criterion for grades is the degree with which a student is able to demonstrate that he agrees with the professor.  Sameness!

There are two ways to achieve “equality.”  First, endeavor to raise the Jameis Winston’s of the world up to a minimally accepted standard. Second is to bring everyone else down to a lower standard whereby Winston is the average.  Unachievable utopias start by trying to bring people up.  When that task proves to be too difficult, there is but one alternative, bring everyone down.  That is much easier.  Through taxes and regulation and an Attorney General who protects “his people” above all others, an onerous government can punish achievers and reward sloth.  That is were we are.

Banking regulations reward spending and punish saving.  They encourage loaning money to people who have no reasonable expectation of being able to repay the loan while making it appear downright foolish to save money at1-2% interest.  You can make more money spending it with a credit card that gives you 2-3% cash back on your spending.

Idiocy like Robertscare gets passed through congress because when the law is passed or shortly thereafter congress exempts themselves and their cronies from the sting of liberty sapping legislation they pass on the rest of us in the name of equality.

These things never end well for the societies that engage in them.  Liberty is drained in almost unnoticeable bits until it becomes apparent that we have neither liberty nor equality.  At that point it is too late.  The swells have taken control.  They are the draconian upper crust pols, famous personalities and media found in the capital city of the movie Hunger Games.  They are isolated, disconnected and exempt from their notion of “equality” that they force onto the masses in the districts, which ensures nothing more than wide spread human suffering typical of the Soviet Union, Pol Pot’s Cambodia, Cuba, North Korea etc. etc. etc. and every single other place such “utopias” are attempted.

And remember, it all starts with the nearly unassailable notion of government forced “equality.”  Who is against “equality?”  When it proves too difficult for the government to raise people up, it will resort to bringing people down.  All in the name of “equality.”

No disrespect sir, but...

I’m no great Glenn Beck fan.  I used to be, but lately he seems more unhinged than usual.  But I have to take his side in the brouhaha between Marcus Luttrell and Jake Tapper.  Tapper foolishly referred to the loss of life in the Navy SEAL mission that inspired Luttrell’s best selling book and now hit movie Lone Survivor as “senseless.”  Here’s Tapper’s quote: “It seemed senseless. I don’t mean to disrespect in any way, but it seemed senseless — all of these wonderful people who were killed for an op that went wrong.”

Luttrell hit back hard at Tapper.  Luttrell said: “We spend our whole lives training to defend this country and then we were sent over there by this country — so you’re telling me because we were over there doing what we were told by our country that it was senseless? And my guys — what? They died for nothing?”

Tapper has been backpedaling ever since claiming “senseless” and “nothing” aren’t the same thing.  In context, “senseless” is probably a distinction without a difference to “nothing.”  Let’s see what Mr. Webster has to say:

Merriam-Webster
sense·less adjective \ˈsen(t)s-lÉ™s\
: done or happening for no reason
—used after beat, knock, etc., to say that someone is hurt badly and becomes unconscious
: stupid or foolish

OK Jake which of those meanings do you want to attach to the SEAL mission?  Tapper wants us to go back and check his reporting from Iraq and Afghanistan so we’ll know just how much he loves and respects the troops.  Sorry Jake, every military guy out there knows when someone says, “no disrespect sir, but…,” something very disrespectful is about to follow.  So it is with Tapper’s, “I don’t mean to disrespect in any way, but it seemed senseless.”  That seems to me very disrespectful and callous to boot to Luttrell and the families of those fallen during that mission.

If those deaths were “senseless” Jake, how would you describe the deaths of all the Americans who died in Falujah, Ramadi etc after our king and his nit wit assistant king cut and ran from Iraq?  Al Qaida flags now fly over those cities.  Pretty senseless huh?  Why not take the first three minutes of your show today and try to explain to us just how badly King SFB miscalculated his Iraq exit strategy which has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.  King SFB lost Iraq.  It’s is the king and only the king who is a senseless moron with regard to the operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Genius Squirrels
Ever forget where you put your car keys?  It's frustrating as heck looking all over.  And as we all do checking and rechecking the same places again and again.  If I've learned one thing about locating a misplaced item it is this, you have to expand the search.  Looking in the same places is as fruitless as blaming the wife or kids or dog for moving it.  Then hours later after pulling off all the sofa cushions, emptying the junk drawer, crawling on your hands and knees through the entire house you put on your coat on to check the car.  You put your hand in your coat pocket and, damn!

Here's another truism in finding a misplaced item, it will always turn up in the last place you look, so start there.  Think about it.  Someone will chuckle at that at about 8 o'clock tonight when the light comes on.

Well global warming took a break this weekend and temps reached into the 40s here at the compound.  Yeah, weird isn’t it?  You wouldn't think warmer temps were an indication of the easing of global warming.  But if the cold is caused by warming, as warm-mongers told us when it was -17, then doesn’t it stand to reason that when it warms up the warming has stopped?  Hmm, that's a brain twister brought to you by leftist idiots.

Anyhoo, it warmed up and I had a chance to watch squirrels come into my snow covered yard and dig through the remaining 4” of snow to retrieve nuts they had buried in the fall.  It was amazing.  They’d hop around, stop, and dig through the snow and come up with a nut.  I can’t find my property markers with a map and GPS.  So who’s the smart one?  I wonder if squirrels can be trained to find car keys?

It's about control

First Christie
Christie must have read Lex yesterday.  He served as a great juxtaposition on how he handled the bridge controversy as opposed to how King Pantload has handled his myriad scandals.  Both took the Sgt. Shultz defense, “I know nuseeing.”  But Christie manned up accepted responsibility and fired the offenders.  Had King Clown done the same Eric the wad Holder, The Shrilldabeast, Susan Rice, Lois Lerner, Jimmy Clapper, et al would have been fired long ago and before they could exit with pension in hand.

The media are happy to give King Fraud a pass on the Sgt. Shultz defense for, what, the 5th time now, but are skeptical of Christie’s first time use.  But hey, let’s not go down that never ending media double standard for Dopes and Rats road.

Control is the goal
Hey how many people died in the polar vortex?  More than 20 I think.  What a bunch of unfortunate bastards.  In AlGore’s world, they have the unique and ironic distinction of dying from global warming by freezing to death.  You cannot make this stuff up.  It is mind bogglingly stupid.

This leads to another question for the warmongers.  Why are warmer temperatures necessarily a bad thing?  I suppose the 20 or so dead as a result of the cold temps might have begged for a bit of warming.  We know that the Earth’s temp has changed since the rock first began to cool.  We know that long before man could be blamed for it, warm temps allowed the Vikings to farm extensively in Iceland and Greenland.  So why is it that the warmongers have decided that the Earth’s current temp is the absolute best and demand that man try to subvert nature’s course – a hubris filled folly if ever there were one -with regard to temp changes?

Hint: it has NOTHING to do with global warming, cooling or climate change.  It has to with ruling class control over us surf class dopes, who in the main just want to be left alone by the ruling class.  Everything in government these days can be boiled down to control.  The ruling class no longer serves us.  They lord over us.  They tell us what kind of insurance to buy and that we cannot visit open air memorials due to petty BS made up restrictions.  They have banned the people from the People’s House.  They have armies of armed bureaucrats in every corner of government to enforce their arbitrary and onerous dictates and hold back the few who have had enough and are willing to stand up to them.

We dutifully line up in CT to follow BS laws suspending the 2nd Amendment.  We consent to wait on line for hours to follow an unconstitutional BS law that allows the government to tell us how we must spend our money because 5 lawless Supreme Court justices (aka 5 dopes in robes) said we must.  Every year 1,000s on top of 1,000s of regulations pour out of Caligula D.C. telling us what we can and cannot do and often require us to pay a fee if we want to exercise our natural rights as free men in America.  They fine us and throw us in jail for not complying with their arbitrary rules.

There’s a double whammy coming.  Climate change and government controlled healthcare will give the lords in Caligula D.C. unprecedented control over us unwashed masses.  Once engrained in our law, the ruling class can then tell us what to eat, drive, how much we can eat or drive, how warm or cool to keep our house (for now) but then will require us to move to a government energy approved apartment.  There will be no end to it.

Keep this in mind; the ruling class is comprised of the very worst among us.  Harry the roach Reid once complained about the smell in the Capitol Building visitor’s center.  Lord Reid it seems didn’t want to have deal with us surfs walking the memorials in OUR capitol on a warm summer’s day and then coming into what I’m sure he believes is his building.  A family with young kids on what for them might be the vacation of a lifetime it seems is just too much for lord Reid’s sensitive olfactory nerve.  Then consider most members of congress are worth over a million dollars.  Fine I don’t begrudge anyone from making money.  But if they showed up in Caligula D.C. worth a couple hundred thousand dollars (like the roach did) and then after 20+ years of “service” are worth millions (like the roach is), they should be horsewhipped (like the roach should be) for theft.

I don’t know where all this ends.  Rats like Boehner, Ryan, Cantor, McConnell are as entrenched swells and nearly as bad as any Dope.  They cannot be looked to for relief.  If you choose to live free, guns and ammo may be the only answers.

Stuff that you may care about

AL QB AJ McCarron's mom in deep doo doo
AJ McCarron’s mom apologized for making fun of the way Jameis Winston talks.  Truth once again is no defense. The kid talks like a stereotype hood from the movies.

"I said guys, we didn't come here for no reason.  I said, 'Guys, this is ours, man.' All the adversity we went through the first few quarters, it was ours to take. And like I've been saying, we control our own destiny, and those men looked me in my eye and said 'We got this Jameis.' I said, 'Are you strong?' They said, ‘I'm strong if you strong.’ I said, 'We strong then.'"
FL State QB Jameis Winston

Using that quote as evidence, the primary purpose of college is:
1. Field an excellent football team
2. Provide a tenured atmosphere for leftist loons who occupy the faculty lounge
3. Provide an expensive 4 year party atmosphere for coeds
4. Provide a higher education to well qualified non-athletic coeds

Now I’ve known plenty of people who didn’t speak well but were otherwise intelligent people.  The ranks of the Marine Corps are filled with young men who do not speak the king’s English very well but can fix just about anything with nothing more than a Leatherman tool or shoot lights out from 500 meters or lead men to do things they didn’t think they could do.  Since early in my Marine days I’ve not confused someone’s ability to speak well with how intelligent they might be.

But this is COLLEGE football isn’t it?  College: an institution of  higher learning.  So he’s a high school graduate enrolled in COLLEGE - an institution of higher learning.  So should someone at FL St. grab this kid and say, “Look Jameis, this is embarrassing for you and the university.  I don’t know how you got out of high school talking like that, but you need to learn how to speak.  You can take all the finger painting classes, African Studies, Gay Studies, Women’s Studies needed to keep you eligible for football, but for the sake of this university’s reputation you are going to learn how to speak proper or at least passable English or there goes your scholarship.  Capiche?”  Oh, the answer to the question is “all of the above.”

What defines success for Robertscare?
Riddle me this:  There were supposedly 48 million uninsured before Robertscare.  53 million after Robertscare.  So how is having 2.5 million sign up, not pay for mind you, just sign up for Robertscare a success?  It seems to me that for this gigantic debacle to be declared a success you’d need to get at least 80% of the target population signed up and paying.  But what do I know.

Chris Christie
Given that I believe all pols are scumbags, I don’t doubt for one second that NJ Governor Chris Christie created, condoned or turned a blind eye to creating a mess for one of his political opponents.  Besides this is a bunch of Northeast Republi-Rat RINOs, the Pete King, David Brooks types who claim to be “conservatives” but like the crease of King Jerkses’ trousers and who save all of their worst criticisms for other Republicans.

What irritates me more than Christie or his minions purposefully screwing things up for the people of NJ is the media and Dope reaction to those revelations.  Christies says he didn’t know anything about the nefarious plan to punish a Dope mayor for not supporting Christies’ reelection bid.

King Jerkses has claimed ignorance or flat out lied about a whole host of scandals in his administration.  Dopes and the lapdog media just yawn and marvel at the king’s ability to put forth the same March Madness college basketball bracket as the ESPN sportswriters every year. Now Christie says he didn’t know about bridgegate and Dopes and the lapdog are howling calling for blood claiming he had to have known.

One thing is for sure, a Republican, even a Rat RINO like Christie, involved in a scandal like this is toast unless his hands are clean.  And even then the truth may not be enough of a defense.

Advice for Christie:  If you’re not involved, put it all out there by noon today.  Hold a presser, for two hours if necessary, to get everything out in one fell swoop.  Beg forgiveness and move on.  If you are involved, put it all out there in one fell swoop.  Make a 30 second statement begging forgiveness and resign.

Robert Gates
I have an opinion on Gates’ book.  The short answer is a question, what did you expect from this king and his court of un-American weasels?  So far I have not heard one thing that shocks me or even mildly surprise me.  After all, my one word descriptor for the king is – “punk.”  Has there been one thing in the excerpts released so far that would change that characterization?  No.  There hasn’t.  There has only been more supporting evidence for that descriptor.

If the Republicans were smart they'd...ahh never mind

Demo-Dopes want to extend unemployment to, what, 15,325 weeks or something.  They also want to raise the minimum wage to $10 an hour.  They also demand that immigration reform – read amnesty – be accomplished prior to the mid-term election.

If Republi-Rats were smart - something that they clearly are NOT – they’d bundle all of these things up and hammer the Dopes with them in the election.

King Jerkses tells us we have to extend unemployment because it creates jobs.  That is like saying increasing the speed limits across America will reduce accidents because people will get to where they are going faster so there will be less people on the streets.  Ask anyone in the know, speed is the major contributor in most accidents.  Our clueless king also tells us that people going into their 236th week of unemployment really, really, really, want to work.

Rats ought to test that theory by proposing legislation that requires some kind of real work for any unemployment compensation after the 13th week.  We know the Rats will cave so why not make the point that we all agree that the chronically unemployed really, really, really, want to work by letting them do so.  Require 10 hours of work a week at a soup kitchen, food bank, public park, prison, road crew, trash collection etc. for the benefit.

Ten hours is an arbitrary number.  Seems reasonable enough to allow the beneficiary enough time to look for work - 30 hours supposedly – while performing useful service to the community.  A clever Rat could link the number of hours of public service to the minimum wage.  If a guy makes $120 bucks a week on unemployment and the minimum wage is $10 an hour the recipient owes 12 hours of service a week.

If such a requirement were proposed, I think it would be wildly popular among those paying for what we now call a benefit but before long will be an entitlement and then a right.  I also think suddenly you’d hear the Dopes saying that the chronically unemployed really, really, really, don’t want to work, can’t work and shouldn’t have to because that would be cruel.

And am I the only one who has known hard working people who collect unemployment while working for cash on the side?  I’m old but I recall a friend’s older brother lining up jobs while on unemployment.  His catch line during this phase was, “I’ll see if I can get to it, but my unemployment is going to run out sometime and I’ll need to take a pay cut and get back to work.”

So yeah, I think 13 weeks free and clear is enough.  Then the benefit ought to start coming with strings attached.  The pressure to work ought to become a bit heavier each week until work becomes a more attractive option than unemployment.

Last, there ought to be a way to convey a message that increasing unemployment compensation, the minimum wage and allowing amnesty during a period when we have 7% unemployment are all counter intuitive to getting the unemployment numbers down.

Here’s the bottom line for the Dopes.  They do not give a wit about the unemployed, illegal immigrants and the working poor past the point that they can be used as a heavy stick with which to beat Republicans.

Need proof?  We’ve been fighting LBJ’s war on poverty for nearly 50 years now using mainly the Dope policy of using public funds to buy votes.  The percentage of poor has not declined in spite of TRILLIONS of dollars poured into one mismanaged government program after another.  The argument is always the same.  It would be un-American if we didn’t help these people.  Sadly a bare subsistence reliant on a one BS government program after another has become a way of life for some.  Others combine one “benefit” on top of another adding to 40K in subsides.  What is it going to take for those people to go back to work?

A work requirement for those benefits may lessen the load somewhat.

The king's B-Day present to Queen Mooch that the surfs will be paying for

Lay on a C-5 cargo plane to retrieve some expensive heavy cargo from Hawaii
Queen Mooch is laying over in Hawaii for a couple of more days, a birthday gift from our king.  How do you suppose she’ll be getting back to Caligula D.C.?  Military cargo class?  So the brokest nation in the history of the world will send a special flight to pick her oversized azz up at great cost to who?  Well the king will reimburse the government for  the cost of the queen’s flight.  That means the king will chip in $700-$800 bucks - or the cost of a commercial ticket - toward the hundreds of thousands of dollars the mission to retrieve the Mooch from her vacation will actually cost.  The surfs will make up the rest of the cost.  So just who is it giving the Mooch the king’s birthday present?  The king, or us surfs?  This is one reason, among many, that I cannot stand these people.  Their colossal arrogance and unbridled sense of entitlement is stunning.  The lapdogs ignore it, can’t be bothered.

I'm sending Mrs. Lex to Aruba for two weeks.  I just need the same deal that the king and queen just got.

End of the BCS
Great game last night to ring out the BCS era.  We’ll be swapping out a two team controversy for a four team controversy next year.  TOSU, AL and Baylor, all one loss teams that would supposedly have been in the running for a playoff birth, all got beat by teams with 2 or more losses.  Oh, by the way, in all of the euphoria of four team playoff next year, did anyone notice that the BCS got it right…again.  I say again, to no avail, leave it alone.

Global warming continues to intensify
Ft. Wayne is still well below zero this morning, -14 to be exact.  I had to bring the family watch dog in from his outside home last night.  Not because I didn’t think he could survive.  I knew he could.  But it’s just easier to bring him in than worry if he got trapped in his little dog run when he went out to pee.  The flap in the dog door is not very pliable, and there’s about – no kidding – 5 feet of snow piled on top of the roof of his deluxe abode.  So if that happened to break loose while he happened to be out, well..

Yet, yet the global warm-mongers are, no $h!t, claiming the cold is due to warming.  You simply cannot make this stuff up.  Ships exploring the loss of Antarctic ice floe gets stuck in record amounts of ice, rescue ships get stuck in ice, coldest temps in 20 years and the warm-mongers claim it’s all due to warming.  So, if it gets warm it is due to global warming, if gets cold it is due to global warming, if there is no noticeable change in temps that is also due to global warming.  Yeah, given logic like that, I guess the debate is over.

16" of global warming fell on Ft. Wayne more on the way

Ponderable
Robertscare has NEVER had the support of a majority of the American people.  In fact, support for the debacle that is Robertscare has fallen steadily.  So when a Republican holds a filibuster to end Robertscare, he gets huge support from his party and the people, right?  No he does not.  His party stabs him in the back.  The people shrug.  Then in the most remarkable turnabout, the guy holding office trying to that office to impose the will of the people on Caligula D.C. is demonized in the lapdog media and is blamed for shutting down government – which, if it were not done in such a petty and mean spirited way by King Jerkses, would have been a good thing.

So how is it the guy doing the will of the people is public enemy #1 in Caligula D.C.?

Assault is not a “game”
When you can get someone in the lapdog media to address the problem of unprovoked racist attacks on people at all, the meme is that it’s just a bunch of “kids” and we really  don’t know the make up of the perps and their victims – except that in 99.9% of the videos it’s some black guy knocking the hell out of some denfenseless and unsuspecting white person.

I say 99.9% because Eric the wad Holder’s Department of Non-Justice found the one white guy assaulting black people and has decided to step in.  BS!  I don’t care if the white perp gets 25 year hard time.  The wad’s choosing this as the first case to put a stop to this phenomenon is like using Mitt Romney’s adopted black grandson for DNA testing to determine likely future aliments within the family.

Now on to, “It’s just kids…” Well if you’re counting 26 year olds as kids I suppose that could be true.  Most sane people draw a line at being a kid at about 18 years old.  I’ve seen a lot of the attacks and a lot of those attacks do not appear to be “kids.”  Rather they appear to be perpetrated by adult males.  Here’s some support for that theory.

Now if tell you that this stuff will not stop until a couple of the perps are shot in the face for their trouble, I’d probably be called a racist.

Fallujah fail
No doubt hundreds of GOFOs have tossed their stars on the secretary’s desk.  Bawha, ha, ha, ha, ha ,ha for allowing this ‘commander in chief” to toss a hard fought victory.  This is all oh so slow Joe two shots and a garden variety slap Biden’s fault.  He was the one tasked to secure a status of forces agreement with the Iraqi government.  You’d think after his spectacular failure monitoring “every dime of the stimulus money,” they’d have given the task to someone with a brain.  You’d be wrong.

Global warming intensifies in Ft. Wayne
Is AlGore in Ft. Wayne?  We’ve had the worst case of global warming this weekend, 16 inches of snow, temp right now is -8 on its way to -14.  So I need to get cracking to keep the compound open – which means closed.  Much to do, snow removal, pets to manage, vehicles to maintain, beer to be brought in from the garage fridge.  First things first.  I need to get that beer inside.

Friday fun

Be Boston Strong! While sheltering in place (i.e. hide under the bed sheets)???  Condemn free speech Strongly!
The headline says it all for me here's the latest on Boston strong and stupid:

My organization, the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) tried to place pro-Israel ads in Boston, countering anti-Israel ads that ran there. Our ad read, “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat jihad.”

The ad was rejected, and we sued. Last week, U.S. District Court Judge Gorton ruled against us in our preliminary injunction against Boston’s Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA). No surprise here, during our hearing Judge Gorton said that he did not have the authority to rule on matters out of his jurisdiction. Still, Gorton dropped the ball on the question of “reasonableness.”

This is Boston, after all, site of the most recent jihad bombing in America, so Gorton’s ruling is sad and regrettable. We will, of course, appeal.

Need a few good men
Need a dozen or so good men to move to WI with me.  Here’s why.

The holidays are behind us or are they.  Happy fraudulent kwanza.
Is kwanza like festivus?  You know some kind of BS holiday that nobody really understands.  Why, yes I believe it is.  Redstate has this on the subject that captures it well:

As the late Tony Snow once commented, “There is no part of Kwanzaa that is not fraudulent.” Kwanzaa actually is the perfect holiday for the mainstream media. Every other holiday celebrates a religious miracle, patriotic heroes, or America itself. Every other holiday celebrates something greater than the self. Kwanzaa was made up by a felon establishing a holiday whereby people can celebrates the racial self. The self-absorbed mainstream media has been looking for a self-absorbing holiday. Now they have it, with a self-absorbed President to boot.

In short, Kwanzaa is the perfect post-modern politically correct holiday.

Drudge nails it
With a nasty cold spell sweeping the country, a ship documenting the loss of Antarctic ice floe stuck record amounts of ice, Drudge headline reads “GLOBAL WARMING INTENSIFIES!”  YGBSM!  No I'm not.

The Drudge link takes you to a UK Telegraph article that predictably tells us the planet is in fact doomed.

Anyone thinking this could possibly be true consider the following:
University of East Anglia lied about, hid and fudged any evidence that did not support their harebrained hypothesis.  Why would you need to lie about and hide the evidence if "the debate is over?"

AlGore supposedly believes in global warming.  Yet he flies solo in a G whatever aircraft, has a fleet of gas guzzling cars, several mansions and by the look of his fat azz is NOT on a strictly vegan diet. As always, I ask, if AlGore, who supposedly believes his own BS about global warming isn’t willing to make even modest changes to his lifestyle to protect the planet, why should someone who does not believe a word of it, make changes?

In 2007 a group studied the placement of the instruments that gather the data upon which the assumptions of global warming are made.  They found that by the government’s own standards – placement of the instrument at least 100 feet away from any biasing factor - 90% of the instruments were incorrectly placed – near air conditioner discharge units, on roofs, in a box with a light bulb, on airport tarmacs, etc. etc. etc.

So to sum this up East Anglia lies, AlGore flies and real data defies.  A little Rev? Jesse Jackson for your morning entertainment.

Lower the standards, ignore the results
The Marine Corps was going to standardize its Physical Fitness Test requirements as means to integrate women into combat roles ordered by men who - at best - are more interested in political correctness than winning battles and wars.  At worst, these brilliant “war fighters” are more interested in their own career advancement than how many young people they get killed by burdening combat units with a bunch of unqualified females who literally cannot pull their own weight.

I say “was” because the Marine Corps discovered what anyone with half a brain already knew, most women do not possess the upper body strength required to pull themselves over high obstacles, carry heavy loads over long distances, load 100 plus pound rounds into howitzers all day, clear a building in Fallujiah by hand to hand combat, swing a 10 pound sledge hammer with enough force to break the track on a tacked vehicle and enough other combat activities to fill as many pages as Hammer Mill can provide in a thousand years.

Here is required reading for anyone who thinks women in combat is a good idea.  Uh, news flash!  Men and women are different.

The government ordered us to line up and we did

Last year AF Bro got me a Molon Labe t-shirt for my birthday.  Not surprising to anyone, like the word doting (which is another story), I didn’t know what the Greek phrase meant.  It did not help one bit that the phrase was written in Greek.  I thought AF Bro was rush chairman for a new fraternity of tiny bloggers.

AF Bro informed me that when the Greeks were holding the pass at Thermopylae, the Persian King Xerxes promised, if the Greeks would just lay down their weapons, the Persian army would kill the Greeks quickly – no suffering.  The Greek King Leonidas responded to Xerxes’ offer with the Greek phrase “molon labe,” which means “come and take them.”

I liked it so much I used a version in the “about me” corner on this very page.  I liked old glory over the Greek battle helmet.  And seriously, if I hadn’t told you, would anyone not already in the know, been able to figure out the Greek phrase?  I guess, when confronted with a confusing passage, that’s what gives rise to the expression “it’s all Greek to me.”  I used that line while perusing a menu in Athens once and got not a single chuckle from the Lex family.

Anyhoo, back on point. Molon Labe = come and take them.  Well the photo at the top is people in CT lining up to comply with a government law requiring them to register certain kinds of weapons, ammo, magazines and clips.  WTF?  Is this America?  I could have sworn when told to comply with some BS government regulation Americans would engage in a bit of civil disobedience.  Yet here we are lined up like sheep for the slaughter.  In CT “come and take them” has morphed into “Yes master. We will comply.” Uh no, I don’t know the Greek translation for that gem.

You may or may not be in favor of Americans being able to “keep and bear arms,” but you ought to be for the Constitution.

Registration?  For what purpose?  Well one reason could be for the cops to know where to show up in one of these and take them.  Another reason could be so the government will know who and how much to tax the owner of these weapons for their “right to keep and bear arms.”  Is there a fee associated with the registration?  That’s a tax.  And if there isn’t one today, how long will it be before some Pol demands a tax to “off-set the administrative costs” of registration.  Then raise the registration cost to reduce the number of weapons, like a cigarette tax.

Once you’ve complied with this BS, it’s pretty much game over for your right to keep and bear arms.  But I understand.  You may not be able to pick up stakes and move to where the state legislature isn’t controlled by a bunch of knee jerk pansy azz leftists.  You sure as heck do not want the weight of the state bearing down on you and your family for non-compliance.  Who wants to be the first non-compliance case of an over zealous prosecutor on this issue?  So what to do?  Move the guns to the closest freedom loving state is one option.  But, unless the weapon is purely a historic piece, that sort of defeats the purpose of having the gun.  Register one and move the others is the answer, I guess.

To me, this is very disturbing.

While we’re on the Thermopylae meme, how about Ted Cruz as Leonidas?  Mike Lee, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio as the 300?  Our own king as Xerxes?  Renamed King Jerkses.   Harry the roach Reid as the Immortals?  Immortals = stealing forever.  I’m not sure we have an exact fit for the deformed traitor in the story.  I suppose you could get anyone in the Rat “leadership” to play that part.  But we do have an entire party of creeps who act like the Greek senate condemning Leonidas for his nation saving efforts from the comfort and safety of their chambers while the 300 fight the good fight.

Oh and how appropriate is it to have a Spartan reference after MI State's win in the Rose Bowl yesterday?
