A few points here. 1)
While the nation has been at war for 14 years most members of the
military have not. 2) The current force is comprised of an
overwhelming percentage of service members who joined the force knowing
full-well that the nation was at war and that they’d probably be asked to
participate in that effort. 3) It’s ironic that 14 years of war is cited for
driving TES’s numbers into the toilet when he’s the one quitting the wars.
What can we learn from all of this? It’s easy to sit here in mom’s basement
typing out words of support for military efforts I can no longer participate
in. But is the length of the war what is
truly in play here? I don’t think
so. It’s what has been gained at great
cost and then lost, nay, given away here by TES that has military members shaking
their collective heads.
The greatest percentage of the American
military fighting force has probably turned over 3-4 times in the 14 years
we’ve been fighting radical Islamo-Terror-Fascists in Iraq and
Afghanistan. Still young Americans
enlist to take their place in the line.
They do so knowing their Commander in Chief is feckless lazy toad who
would rather be on the golf course than sitting in a strategy meeting with real
warriors. They do so in spite of the
fact that a fat idiot former DHS secretary considers them a greater to American
security than the ITF. They do so in
spite of the fact that the IRS will target them for joining a Tea Party group. They do so in spite of the fact that the VA
big shots would rather hide their injuries and illnesses in order to cash in on
a couple of thousand dollars’ worth of bonus money than treat their wounds.
It just does not pass the common sense
test for me to believe that troops are railing against TES because of 14 years
of war when he quit one war and substantially reduced the numbers committed in
another while announcing a date certain for total withdrawal – an adult at DoD
has since backed away from TES’s announced surrender date.
No.
I do not buy Col Hunt’s analysis that TES’s pee poor ratings of support
among the military is due to the longevity of the war. The numbers are due to the fact that TES is
perfectly willing to let them die for nothing.
That’s about as harsh a thing anyone can say about a “Commander in Chief,”
but I believe it’s true. He lost
Iraq. He lost Syria. He lost Libya. He’s on his way to losing Afghanistan, Iran,
Jordan, Egypt and Israel.
That is why the military cannot stand
this azzweasel, his azzweasel administration or the band of ASSes at the
Pentagon. He’s a loser. As stated, he’d rather be on the golf course
than in a meeting to figure out a winning strategy. Case closed.
And another pretty good example that TES does NOT love America or at
least those fighting to defend her.

From the Griffin...
One common theme with TES is acrimony, distrust, and fracturing of relationships, and he wears these like a crown. Our military is no different. A non-leader that votes PRESENT 80% of the time, then touts leading from behind as though it is a virtue. The Middle East is on fire so TES returns a bust of Churchill to the Brits, abuses relationships with Israel, cops, taxpayers, banks, business concerns, US religious groups, Boy Scouts, ICE agents, and the list goes on and on. He ignores the constitution and uses the IRS and EPA to punish political enemies. Our military is right to disapprove of this guy. And the military folks that approve of him are probably to afraid to speak up. And TES is not done. There is a lot to be said for just stopping the moron from things worse. It will be very difficult to do.
