Suz Collins doubles down on stupid

In her famous halting speech, ME Senator Suz Collins is still baffled by Steve Bannon’s pledge to kick the Rat establishment Republicans azz.  Suz said, “I think what Steve Bannon is trying to do is completely inappropriate and also inconceivable to me. He’s not looking at how people vote on issues that matter to President Trump. He’s looking at whether or not they support Mitch  McConnell as majority leader. Mitch McConnell is key to President Trump’s ability to get tax reform through, for example.”

Lex highlighted what he considers the important parts.  Inappropriate?  WTF?  Primary challenges are “inappropriate”?  Why?  What an entitled clueless buffoon.  You’re a sitting Caligula, D.C. ruling class azzbag, so anyone with the temerity to challenge you is inappropriate.  YGBSM.

Suz doesn’t get it.  The “it” in this case being the PDJT phenomenon.  Donald Trump is not President of the United States because of his Henry Clay like rhetoric and oratory skills.  He’s not president because of his James Madison like understanding of the Constitution.  He wasn’t elected because of his John Locke like understanding of republicanism.  He was not elected because his Billbo Billyboy Clinton like political savvy.

PDJT was elected because he gave voice to the common concerns of everyday Americans.  He was elected precisely because he was not a life-long Caligula, D.C. ruling class political BS artist.  He was elected because he could talk to coal miners, farmers, factory workers or just about anyone and make a connection, and yes express empathy for their plight at the hands of the Caligula D.C. ruling class azzbags.  That’s how won the title “blue collar billionaire.”  That is why Suz is so confused.  First, she’s confused by any pol who would actually do what they campaigned on.  She has not the first clue how to make the connection to anyone outside the butt-sucking Caligula D.C. thieving ruling class.

Bannon is expressing the thought that Peter Schweizer wrote an entire book about called, Throw them all out.  McConnell does need to go.  For 7 ½ years the BS artists have campaigned on repealing and replacing Robertscare. Mitch could not get it, or even a small part of it done.  He has to go.

The fact that he did not punish anyone – McCain, Murkowski, Collins – who did not support what the party campaigned on for 7 ½ years is all you need to know that the fix was in.  Had he booted the BS artists from committee chairmanships and sent them to the backbencher status that they deserve, he might have an ounce of credibility.  He didn’t.  So, he doesn’t.

The self-centered onetime war hero – McCain - openly opposes PDJT’s agenda because he cannot stand that PDJT did what McCain couldn’t - stomp the Demo-Dopes like the fall guy at a WWE pay per view cage match. Never one to let bygones be bygones, McCain is, no doubt, still holding a grudge because PDJT questioned McCain’s onetime war hero status by preferring heroes that weren’t captured.  McCain criticizes PDJT for his “America First” policy as misguided nationalism.  Well McCain’s policy is much worse than PDJT’s.  PDJT openly puts America first.   McCain openly puts John McCain first.

My conspiracy theory on the ReR’s failed effort to do something on Robertscare goes like this, McConnell knows Collins is out – to her credit she’s always been out.  McConnell need two more no votes.  Murkowski won as write-in and is not up for re-election.  He gets her on the phone.  He can convince her to be the one of the three lying turncoats he needs to scuttle PDJT’s effort trim back Robertscare.

Now he needs just one more vote.  Who would love the attention of being THE ONE VOTE, the DEATH BLOW to PDJT’s Robertscare repeal effort?  Who is so jealous of PDJT and can’t stand his success?  Who loves to “cross the aisle” so often that he’s on the Dope side more than ours, particularly with this president?  That part is easy.  All of Caligula, D.C. ReRs.  But he also need someone who has nothing to lose politically.  McConnell says, "Get me McCain.  He’s, what, 135 years old, been in Caligula, D.C. since L’Enfant laid out the plan for the city and is pretty much untouchable due his onetime war hero status and can always play the brain cancer card.  But, PDJT did drag McCain across the finish line in his last election. Any loyalty there?  No.  That won’t matter to McCain.  Remember he’s one of the Keating five and ditched his ailing wife for a beer magnet’s daughter.  McCain will vote for McCain one more time."

Three “no votes” in hand, Mitch took the vote without telling the ReRs that any failure to support the president on this signature Party promise will result in being removed from every committee of importance and placed on the Christmas Party Planning committee, withholding all party campaign funds and support and the promise of a Party supported primary challenge.  The fix was in.  That’s how Lex sees it.  So, yeah, Lex’s onetime Man of the Year, Mitch McConnell, has to go.

Losing power is the only thing that the Caligula, D.C. ruling class azzbags understand.  Bannon knows it.  He’s willing to use that leverage.  Suz doesn’t get it, which surprises exactly - no one.
