Vindman proven to be an insubordinate liar

I didn’t see any of LTC Vindman’s testimony.  That said, what I’ve read about it and heard about it from the convenient store clerk who got it from her girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend’s brother-in-law, Vindman appears to me to be an insubordinate POS with a Walter Mitty complex.

We know Vindman to be an insubordinate POS because he went around the chain of command airing his grievances about the phone call to Bow Tie Boy and someone in the intel community.  Vindamn said he did this because his boss was too busy.  Then we find out that Vindman met with his boss the same day as the phone call and the subsequent leaks to go over changes to the transcript. 

So WTF?  Vindman’s excuse for violating the chain of command was that he couldn’t get to the boss then we find out they met the very same day.  Someone’s lying.

As for Walter Mitty, Vindman testified HE was responsible for creating “cohesive, coherent” Ukrainian policy.  YGBSM.  He cannot be that dumb – can he?  Question that should have been asked, “LTC Vindman you stated you were ‘responsible for creating ‘cohesive, coherent’ Ukrainian policy’ can you site the portion of the US Constitution that makes you = low ranking Army officer in a low ranking position in the White House – responsible for creating Ukrainian policy?”   

Vindman’s boss testified that he wanted the transcript placed on a separate server to protect its content.  So Vindman leaking that content to someone in the intel community is a violation of something.  Vindman admitted to leaking the content of a presidential phone call to Bow Tie Boy and someone in the intelligence community.  I’m pretty sure that is a violation of trust at a minimum and probably a violation of law, standard operating procedure and rules governing the handling of classified material.  So did Vindamn’s contact in the intel community have the appropriate clearance and the need to know?  No one asked.

Vindman, like Mitty, appears to be very impressed with himself. He says he gave the newly elected president of Ukraine two bits of advice.  One, don’t trust the Russians.  No sh*t Captain Obvious.  Does anyone really think the new president of Ukraine needed that bit of advice?  The Rooskies just stole and occupied Crimea for crying out loud.  Vindman’s other bit advice was not to get involved in US politics. 

I have two bits of advice for everyone out there.  Continue to breath and eat every once in a while.  That advice is every bit as useful to you as Vindman’s was to new president of Ukraine.  What a pompous buffoon.

Under questioning Vindman’s claim appears to be a lie in that he admitted that he has never had a one-on-one conversation with Ukrainian president. So how was this advice relayed to Ukrainian president?  Now suppose you are the newly elected president of Ukraine and some fat-faced Army LTC starts lecturing you on the Russians and US politics, what’s your reaction?  Mine would be, “That’s nice. Someone get this azzbag out of here.”

During the evening session, Lex’s observations were confirmed when Vindman’s boss relayed that he had been warned that Vindman was a leaker and self-serving weasel (my words).  Then there’s this from Vindman’s classmates at Army Ranger School.  Being lazy is one thing, but we cannot tolerate a chow thief.  That’s just over the line.  It also is picture into Vindman’s soul.  Stealing is one thing.  Stealing from the community food locker is more odious than most thievery. 

Bottom line:  Vindman is overweight.  He probably cannot perform up to standard on the Army PT test.  He’s an insubordinate liar.  Other than that, he should definitely be promoted ahead of his peers, and given the state of the military leadership, (see posts below) he probably will.
