There is no reality with the current data

UPDATE:  The media lied people died

What do we know about the Wuhan Virus?  Probably not as much as we should.  Deep state government azzbags and big tech are hiding the ball from us.  Take yesterday as example.  Dr. Fauci created much hoopla about the drug Remdesivir.  A small study has shown that the expensive and invasive drug apparently is somewhat effective against the Chinese virus.   WooHoo!  Now there are calls to fast track the drug through CDC trials so that the drug can be made widely available for treatment.

Here’s an interesting note.  Dr. Fauci heads up the NIH.  The manufacturer of Remdesivir is a company called Gilead.  Gilead donated a bunch of cash to the NIH.  Is Dr. Fauci compromised?  Idunno. If it’s not an outright conflict of interest, it certainly has the appearance of a conflict of interest.

Meanwhile many studies have shown the inexpensive, already tested, widely used drug, Hydroxychloroquine, is 98% effective in treating Chinese Virus patients when given early.  No matter how many studies show success, the deep state azzbags come up with the – the study didn’t have a “double blind control group” therefore we cannot trust that the lives it saved under those circumstances are admissible as evidence of success.  Yesterday Turkey claimed that they gave Hydroxy to all patients who tested positive for the Chinese Virus and as a result the drug appeared to delay or eliminate the need for intensive care for patients.

So, how many score of tests and studies demonstrating a benefit have to occur before the evidence passes the “anecdotal” threshold?

While the deep state ignores, nay derides the promising results of Hydroxy, the “scientists” studying Remdesivir are withholding lifesaving protocols to sick patients so that they can run a control group for a stupid study.  Is that ethical?

But it’s not just the drugs the masters of the universe are hiding from us.  When PDJT was spitballing about using UV light to treat the Wuhan Virus, the deep state went nuts.  Trump’s crazy!!   Then Aytu Bioscience released a video on using UV light internally to treat the Chinese Virus.  Shortly thereafter, the masters of the universe suspended their social media accounts, took their video down and hid the ball.

Not long ago two CA doctors conducted a statistical study demonstrating that the chances of a Californian dying from the Wuhan Virus were - 0.03%.  When the doc’s video went viral, the masters of the universe took it down and hid it from the public.

The masters of the universe are also hiding any workable data to allow us to see what is happening with the Wuhan Virus.  The Masters of the universe want us to believe that we’re all going to die if go out anywhere other than Kroger which by some miracle has been determined to be safe while public parks are a hotbed of the deadly disease sure to kill us all if we go for a walk there.

We know the models used to scare the bejeezzus out of us are wildly inaccurate.  Why don’t we use new models?  We closed the schools in spite of the fact that studies show that children are all but immune to the disease. We know that the most vulnerable are those 65 and older suffering from an existing ailment. We know the disease is far more prevalent than the tests show.  Why aren’t public policies being adjusted to reflect these realities?

Deep state azzbags are hiding the ball. They, along with the MSM, want a population reliant on the federal government for rent and food payments.

Governors not ordering business to open or shoppers to shop

For all the hoopla proclaiming a “lock down” or house arrest type “stay at home” orders, we’ve been living under anything but for over 40 days.  The Kroger, Walmart, Lowe’s, CVC, Walgreen, fast food drive throughs have been packed.  Truckers, Amazon and USPS have been moving record amounts of goods and public services continue uninterrupted.

Now governors are contemplating relaxing some restrictions to their draconian and extra constitutional “stay at home” orders. Predictably, the left is worried we’re moving too fast because the resultant rebounding economy will redound to PDJT’s favor or someone might get sick or die.  The timid souls insist all economic activity must stop until after the election or at least until the economy is so crippled it cannot help Trump.

My simple question to the “shut it down until no one is at risk or we all die in place” crowd is, how can it be safe for Kroger to operate but unsafe for say, a dog groomer, to reopen using the exact same protocols in place at the Kroger?  The customer comes with face mask in place, drops Rover off at the door to the groomer wearing a face mask, returns to pay at the door with a credit card and then is reunited with a clean and trim Rover?

Also, any relaxation of rules is not an order that entrepreneurs must open their doors any more than it’s an order that the public must patronize opening shops.  Last, the governor is not ordering the most vulnerable among us - i.e. people age 65 and older with underlying health issues – out of the safety of their homes.  Responsible people are capable of making these decisions on their own.  The Nervous Nellies can continue to hide under the bed and wait for their government minders to pay their rent and bring them food while the rest of us get on with life.

Today's JG rant: Biden China's stooge

In his Apr 27, 2020 letter “Quarantine reading list reveals buried insights” Ron Flickinger claims to have read “The Manchurian Candidate.”  I doubt it.  If he did, because he foolishly equates PDJT to that candidate, he was too foggy of mind to comprehend Congdon’s convoluted plot.  At its center was the son of a prominent U.S. political family who is brainwashed into being an unwitting assassin for a Communist conspiracy.

PDJT’s very first venture into the world of politics was in 2015 when he announced his bid for the presidency.  By contrast, his likely 2020 opponent, the lying, thieving, plagiarizing, senile, doddering, old fool who is a suspected pedophile and sexual predator, Joe Biden, began his political career in 1969 and despite being wrong on every major issue since rose to become Obama’s Vice President.

PDJT and his children all earned their wealth before PDJT entered politics.  By contrast idiot Biden and his worthless, no talent, drug addicted, other than honorably discharged, deadbeat dad of a son got wealthy by parlaying a supercilious buffoon’s political office into cash deals.

Flickiger’s blind bias or ignorance makes it impossible for him consider that PDJT has been warning America of an emerging China for a decade before he ever ran for office.  It was PDJT who made it a key promise in his campaign to reign in China’s unsustainable trade deficits.  It was PDJT who imposed crippling tariffs on Chinese goods coming into the country in order to get favorable trade deal.  It was PDJT who suspended travel from China on Jan 31 and rightly named the Chinese Virus what it is – a Chinese Virus.  It is PDJT vowing to investigate the Communist Chinese Party government and hold them responsible for their negligence in the spread of the Wuhan Virus.

By contrast the witless Chinese stooge, Joe Biden, has been protecting his family’s miss gotten fortunes by apologizing for the ruthless, godless corrupt as hell communist Chinese government for years.  When PDJT issued his life-saving executive order suspending incoming flights from China, the clueless Biden accused him of being a xenophobic racist.  Just last summer Biden would have had us believe, “[the Chinese are] not bad folks, folks. But guess what, they’re not competition for us.”

Then there’s this from the Democrat’s favorite jug-eared dope and his ignoramus of a vice president, the only person in America capable of making the dope look smart by comparison.  In 2014 Obama boasted that his new outreach initiatives with the communist Chinese would “help affected countries to strengthen capacity-building on health and epidemic prevention so as to place the epidemic under control as soon as possible.”  Then in 2015 the inept Obama team sent 3.7 million dollars to the exact Wuhan lab credibly suspected of releasing the virus on the world.  It’s weird.  It turns out Obama/Biden paid the Chinese to develop the virus that would destroy our economy.  And you thought the Iran deal was BS.

Given the facts, there are several explanations for Flickinger’s dopey letter.  He didn’t read the book.  He couldn’t follow the plot.  He doesn’t know what the word “Manchurian” means.  He thinks everyone is as dumb as the points contained his letter and will simply accept the senseless hogwash contained therein.

Another possibility, and it’s not too farfetched, is that the JG’s real audience for the daily anti-Trump/America diatribes is not anyone with a functioning brain.  Instead, the JG publishes poorly thought through rubbish like Flickinger’s to sate the appetite of anti-Trump/America haters and a vital Democrat voting mainstay – angry, braindead, morons suffering from extreme cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Quarantine reading list reveals buried insights
Being “sheltered in place” means time weighs heavy on one's hands. But it's actually a great opportunity to get those things done that in normal times one would say, “When I get around to it.”
I got around to doing an in-depth inventory of my home library and, lo and behold, I found 12 books I either couldn't remember reading or that I haven't read for a long tiime. Consequently, I find myself strangely content with all this time on my hands. It was like finding some old friends.
I just finished two of my previously read books and found a couple of things: First, my reading continues to affirm author Jessamyn West's adage that “fiction reveals truth that reality obscures” and second, that reading stuff published in 1959 and 1965 reflects human behavior exhibited in 2020.
Who does the following sound like? Fill in the blanks with a 2020 national political leader(s).
From “The Manchurian Candidate” (1959) by Richard Congdon come these two descriptions of a national political leader: 1) “is a man who shall forever stand guard at the door of the mind to protect the people of this great nation from facts.” And 2) “_ puts the finishing touches on his sabotage of the morale of American scientists to the enormous net gain of those who work against the interests of the United States.” I can think of more than one name (actually four from Indiana alone and one from New York) who might fit both descriptions.
Then Fletcher Knebel, in “Night of Camp David” (1965) has a retired four-star general state a sobering fact about the structure of the American political system when he says: “Nobody — but nobody in this country can tell a president of the United States that his mind is sick.” Ain't that the truth?

Today's JG rant: Let's not pay people to hide under the bedsheets

Survivability of the human race requires that the overwhelming majority of the herd be made up of duly cautious people.  However, for the human race to advance, it requires that there be an audacious minority -  a daring few who lead the attack and by their example get the rest of the herd on their feet in the face of danger.

In the early days of the Island hopping campaign of WWII in the Pacific, US landing forces were faced with a thorny dilemma.  After storming the beaches under intense enemy fire, they could either hunker down on the beach where they’d all surely be killed or wounded under withering enemy direct and indirect fire, or they could rise up in the face of those fires and physically assault enemy positions delivering the fires.

Fortunately, there were enough men of derring-do to rise up and make the assault while bringing the rest of the herd to their feet to do the same.

When John Crawford’s article appeared, I knew the JG’s alert leftist editors would have letters ready to go from the Abe Schwab, Branden Blaettner, Bill Burkhart, John Steinbacher, Tom Hayhurst and Paul Dahm  types.  These are the risk adverse people who would leave the false security of hiding from the virus under their bedsheets only long enough to make fact-free ad hominin arguments against Crawford’s undeniable truth.  What’s the truth?  The truth is that we will, at some point, need to get on our feet and go back to work.

It’s not the least bit surprising that the timid hide their affliction by offering up ridiculously unworkable unsustainable economic models whereby the self-sufficient are ordered to hobble themselves so the cautious ones can continue to hide under the bedsheets. In idiot Blaettner’s world, landlords go bankrupt so renters don’t have to work, the banking system collapses so that so that the fearful can run an unlimited line of credit, states continue to be slaves to faulty pandemic models in order to keep the population under unlawful house-arrest and the federal government continues pumping out trillions of dollars of worthless notes in order to maintain the illusion that things are swell.

When the unsustainable nature of Blaettner’s economic stupidity becomes apparent, the government will no longer be able to keep the gruel machines running to feed the people and government checks will fail to arrive on time because they are not long enough to contain all of the zeroes needed to accommodate the out of control hyperinflation.  When that happens, the thin veneer of a civil society will quickly deteriorate.  It is then the Blaettners of this world will be forced to their feet, or, given their supine nature, maybe not.

Crawford's words cheap
I read Dr. John Crawford's opinion (April 19) stating that it would be a mistake to continue the country's shutdown past May 1 and it's time to put fear aside.
I wonder if he would have the same attitude if he had had the courage to offer his services to any New York City hospital as they worked double shifts, risking their own lives and those of their families to save others without adequate protective equipment.
Actions speak louder than words.
Paul Dahm

Crawford's arguments illogical on many levels
I picked up my April 19 newspaper and saw a disgusting article by John Crawford. His irresponsible comparison of this virus to vehicle accidents, heart disease and the flu shows a total lack of knowledge.
There is immunization for the flu; if people choose not to get it, then that's their choice – but it does exist.
And I never knew vehicle accidents could spread from one person to another. Same with heart disease.
The purpose of quarantining is to stop the spread of this deadly virus.
I also am wondering why the newspaper gave you a platform. As a politician, Crawford was rejected by all voters once and the second time by his own party. How does this somehow warrant his opinion on the front page and not in the letters like everyone else?
Lastly, did Crawford feel he was stepping on anyone's constitutional rights with his smoking ban? Did he think maybe bar owners and restaurant owners should be allowed to make those decisions as part of their business plan?
John Steinbacher

Crawford's medical advice not what we should heed
In his April 19 column, Dr. John Crawford offered a fatalistic and politically tainted assessment of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He stated that 50,000 to 60,000 individuals die from influenza every year but failed to mention that those deaths occur despite our concerted public health efforts to prevent every one. He went on to suggest in a cavalier manner that we should now be willing to abandon important and successful COVID-19 preventative measures and accept needless deaths to protect the economy.
Crawford is one of many weighing in on this important public health debate. We should look not to Dr. Crawford or Dr. Tom Hayhurst for their recommendations regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our nation's No. 1 infectious disease public health specialist, Dr. Anthony Fauci, is a veteran of successful battles against HIV, SARS, MERS, swine flu and Ebola. His opinion should guide our fight against COVID-19 locally as well as nationally.

Letters to the editor
Former City Councilman John Crawford offered up the idea that “people are going to die but we need to get back to work.”
What we need to do is vote out officials who share this idea. Also, for people to be able to delay their mortgage and car payments so they can stay fed. For those renting who can't pay their rent: Take the total owed and move it between the remaining months on the lease. Utility companies should have the same system in place for those who cannot pay for essential utilities (internet included).
People who still have an income can pay bills as scheduled. But we need to make concessions for those who can't. Let those who  aren't working be able to live without the fear of eviction or shutoff. Allow for programs to make the financial impact less by making the increase on payments affordable when we are back to business
Credit card companies should be instructed to suspend late payment charges and lower interest rates during this time. Banks should be forced to lower insufficient-funds fees.
Taxes for businesses as well as licensing should be based upon sales and give relief to the businesses that had to close. Those that could remain open but saw a hit can pay less to stay open.
We need to show compassion to people. And tossing less-essential workers out into the wild will only result in an increase of cases.
Be human, for goodness sake.
Branden Blaettner

Is Crawford willing to put himself at risk?
John Crawford's irresponsible piece of April 19 states that reopening the country May 1, regrettably, will cause additional individuals to die from the virus, but Fort Wayne should reopen quickly to restore a healthy, vibrant economy.
I would like to see Crawford offer himself as an additional specific individual to die in exchange for a vibrant economy. I recommend he forgo medical treatment for coronavirus to make room for someone who actually acted responsibly during this crisis. Perhaps he can sign a DNV (do not ventilate) order.
And should he infect anyone else in our community while they pursue a vibrant economy, he be held liable in civil and criminal proceedings.

Today's JG rant: Liars or ignorant fools?

When I read the JG letters page I resist calling any of the lefty lib writers “liars,” because I don’t if what they write are outright lies or simply the poor product of a mind formed by a public education system that libs have destroyed over the last 30 years that can be summed up in this truism – “idiots, teaching idiots, how to be idiots.”

Since I don’t know that David Sowards (Pandemic reflects collapse of Trump presidency, Apr 25, 20202) is a liar, damn liar or a miserable damn liar, the charitable thing to do is just assume he’s just a product of a lefty lib education system that has left him a totally uninformed colossal ignoramus.

In the midst of a pandemic loosed on the world by Chinese negligence that threatens to result in a world-wide recession/depression, commie loving Sowards wants to lay the blame of a tanking US economy at the feet of the American president.

But his buffoonery doesn’t stop there.  Sowards makes it up when he writes that Trump is laying the blame for the pandemic on Democrats and Obama.  Produce a quote, Dave.  I’ll wait.  Trump has correctly laid the blame exactly where it belongs – the communist Chinese government.  When he did, commie loving boobs claimed that stating the truth about the Wuhan virus was racist.  The only blame Trump laid at the feet of the inept Obama administration was their failure to restock PPE supplies after the H1N1 outbreak. A fair question for whining hypocrites like Sowards would be, “You’ve had three years, why didn’t your administration restock?”

When a buffoon gets on a roll it’s hard to stop.  Sowards then repeats debunked BS.  First he tries to breathe life into the long debunked nonsense that Trump called the Chinese Virus a hoax.  Never happened.  Provide a quote, Dave.  I’ll wait.  Trump called the Democrat response to communist Chinese Virus a hoax.

One line of BS by a buffoon on a roll is never enough.  Sowards tries his hand at propping up another load of MSM bovine excrement.  He claims Trump fired the entire pandemic response team.  Not true.  Trump didn’t fire anyone.  The head of the team quit when John Bolton joined the administration.  Bolt disbanded the rest of the team that was formed to fight the Ebloa crisis and like all federal programs refused to die when its mission went away.

Then ignorance gave way to hyperbole.  Sowards claims Trump did everything possible to sabotage our preparedness.  Gee, I must have missed when Trump took a sledgehammer to ventilators in the Rose Garden and dumped loads PPE into the Potomac.

Ever the uninformed one, Sowards claims Trump is encouraging the use of untested and possibly unsafe treatments.  I suppose that is a reference to the president’s hope that Hydroxychloroquine might provide relief to people suffering from the Wuhan Virus.  Totally inaccurate.  The drug has been on the market for decades.  It has been thoroughly tested and been proven safe for use in humans.  It is widely prescribed for other ailments and has shown promise for patients suffering from the Chinese Virus.  Sowards apparently is rooting for the virus and prefers that people suffer rather than Trump be proven correct on the benefits of the drug.

Sowards may not be liar but he’s perfectly comfortable repeating other people’s lie.  Trump does not have a direct financial interest in any company producing Hydroxychloroquine.  He has an interest in a mutual fund that includes a small interest in French producer of the drug.  His total financial interest has been estimated to be somewhere between $29 and slightly over $1,000.

So root for America and reject the commie lovers rooting for the virus, which sadly includes many contributors to this page.  Note that Democrats have again settled on a China loving, senile, doddering, old fool of a legacy candidate who started feeding himself and his worthless, no talent, drug addicted, other than honorably discharged, deadbeat dad of a son at the public in 1974.

Pandemic reflects collapse of Trump presidency
For years, President Donald Trump liked to take credit for the strong economy. Shouldn't he now take the blame for the collapse and crash of the stock market and economy?
What would it take for Trump supporters to renounce their support for him? Losing a job? Losing the house? Losing the car? Losing property? Losing their savings and investments? Losing a business? Losing their family during this crisis? What would it take to show them that ever supporting Trump was a mistake?
Trump is not interested in dealing with a crisis such as this. He likes to play the blame game, even blaming the pandemic on the Democrats and Barack Obama.
The truth is that Trump himself left the country unprepared for this situation by supporting cutting funds for services and supplies that may have helped. He called the coronavirus a hoax and tried to downplay or ignore the looming crisis while playing golf. In 2018, he fired the entire pandemic response team.
He did everything possible to sabotage our preparedness. He even encouraged the use of untested and possibly unsafe treatments for coronavirus in which he had a financial interest. It's just like him to try to make a buck out of this situation.
So, as millions file for unemployment and bankruptcy, reject Trump and all who have supported him at the polls. His presidency has been a disaster and we can do better with the Democrats.

Today's JG rant: It's not funny any more

Yeah, Trump suggesting ingesting disinfectants was dumb as hell.

I used to think that the majority of lefty libs who contribute to the JG editorial page since Nov 8th, 2016 were just a bunch of harmless sore losers who - due to their own destruction of public education - were incapable of adjusting to the results of a free and fair election that didn’t end the way they wanted.  They have been wailing and braying like half-starved donkeys standing at the feeding trough ever since.

I used to marvel at the long list of BS they’d fall for that was peddled by a clueless MSM.  It started with the MSM falsehood that Trump removed the bust of MLK from Oval Office and now manifests itself in the MSM lie that Trump didn’t act fast enough to the Wuhan Virus.  In between the angry mob wrote angry letters ensuring us that Stormy Daniels, Wikileaks, Trump Tower meetings, Paul Manafort, Michael Choen, Robert Mueller, Julian Assange, secret internet servers, Fat Jerry Nadler, serial liar Adam Schiff, LTC Vindman, impeachment et al were sure to lead to the end of Trump.

Every single time the Wile E. Coyotes laid their super genius traps for Trump the anvil fell on their own heads, the dynamite blew up in their own faces, their rocket powered roller skates plowed them into a sheer butte and the train that was supposed to flatten Trump ended up flattening the libs.

In the end, the most effective thing the hyper geniuses have been able to pull off to “hurt Trump” was the public temper tantrum and display of pure petulance by their 80 year old millionaire thoughtless and incompetent leader with bad dentures who publicly ripped up her copy of Trump’s State of the Union speech.  Way to go Nancy.  You’re doing a heck of a job.

As the angry letters - long on ad hominem attacks and short on logic – that littered the JG OpEd page piled up, I’d take their constant braying as nothing more than a release for harmless half-wits.  I’d take them in with a grain of salt and – I admit – a bit of joy from their never ending anger and discomfort.  Three and a half years in and the unhinged anger has yet to subside.  How sad.

Then reading another page of never ending insufferable whining from the brain-dead on April 24th, it dawned on me, this probably isn’t funny anymore.  These people are actually rooting for the demise of their own country for no other reason than Trump is the duly elected president.  They are perfectly happy for the ship to sink killing all onboard as long as the captain goes down with the ship.

It starts with Patricia G. Stahlhut’s lazy letter “Trump can’t measure up to leadership standard” where, incapable of original thought, she simply lifts 98% of her piece from one of failed economist Paul Krugman’s columns. Remember Krugman was the idiot who, on inauguration day, predicted that America was headed to a years’ long recession.  Instead the market hit all-time highs 70 times in 2017.  Way to go Paul.  You’re doing a heck of a job.  The JG, too cheap to pay Krugman for his work, gets Krugman’s piece in by printing Stahlut’s half-hearted attempt at original thought.

Then the JG follows on with Dusty Roach’s vapid piece “Pandemic presents a host of issues” where Roach tries but fails miserably to point out where the strong man in the arena is failing. He starts with the idiocy where he suggests that the US should be looking at other countries experiences to guide us in our decision making.   Roach must have his head buried too far in the sand to have listened to any of Trump’s daily briefings where Dr.’s Birx and Fauchi have repeatedly said that that is exactly what they are doing.  Then he worries about where the testing sights in Walgreen and CVS parking lots are while ignoring the over 4 million tests that have been completed.  I guess in Roach’s warped world if the over 4 million tests don’t take place in a Walgreens or CVS parking lot they don’t count.  Then Roach, like a lot the JG’s lefty lib writers, shows his preference for godless communist China and worthless corrupt UN organizations when he correlates Trump’s temporary withholding funds to the W.H.O. with his withholding his federal tax bill.  Go ahead Dusty, make my day.  Then, again like most lefty libs, he just makes it up by stating Trump demanded his name appear on the stimulus checks.  While Trump’s signature will appear on the checks, there’s nothing to indicate that Trump “demanded” it or that checks were slowed while the signature was affixed. It’s far less of a vote buying scheme than the Democrats’ decades’ long effort to turn America into a welfare state.

Last, the JG’s printed a letter by Kevin Paul Krajewski “Our new anthem” where he suggest America adopt a new anthem “This is our end.”  Nice.  That’s your lefty libs in a nutshell - rooting for the Chinese and the W.H.O. and betting on a virus to destroy America in their evil effort to get Trump.  The only way “This will be our end” the lefty lib are hoping for is if the country elects the senile, doddering, lying, thieving, old fool the Democrats have put forth as their best candidate.

No doubt JG editors will continue to print nothing but the vilest letters they receive from the most unhinged bunch of America hating commie loving letter writers so intent on “getting Trump” they have little or no concern for the future of the county.

Trump can't measure up to leadership standard
From Paul Krugman's column in the New York Times:
“Recent job losses have been nothing short of apocalyptic. ... So how are the Trump administration and its allies responding to this COVID-19-generated jobs crisis? Are they taking it seriously? Or are they doing what they did as the pandemic spread — dithering and refusing to take necessary action out of some combination of wishful thinking and political pettiness?
“... In sum, Trump's response to the economic fallout from COVID-19 is looking a lot like his fumbled response to the virus itself. He's in denial about the problem; he's blocking essential action because of personal political vendettas; and his party is opposing desperately needed aid because of its anti-government ideology.
“... The economics of dealing with a pandemic were never going to be easy. But Trump and company are almost surely going to make things even worse than they had to be.”
And these quotes lead me to the last genuinely great Republican president, Dwight David Eisenhower, who said:
“Leadership consists of nothing but taking responsibility for everything that goes wrong and giving your subordinates credit for everything that goes well.”
Trump isn't even in the running.
Patricia G. Stahlhut

Pandemic presents a host of issues
Questions for the administration to answer ...
Since other countries experienced this virus before us, doesn't it make sense to watch their experiences coming out of it and model our plan after those who have had the most success?
Whatever happened to the plan for nationwide testing in Walgreen's and CVS parking lots?
If the administration can withhold funding from the World Health Organization for alleged incompetency in foreseeing and managing this crisis, can I withhold my taxes from this government for exactly the same thing?
Isn't demanding that your name be on the disaster relief check an explicit admission that you are literally trying to buy votes?

If it saves one life banning bacon will be worth it - right?

The, “If it saves even one life, it’ll be worth it” idiocy is the meme lefty libs are using to fly drones to spy on Americans and keep the country shut down till the end of time. It is a huge BS canard.

If true, we should build the wall, because if it saves one life by stopping one shipment of fentanyl it will be worth it.  If true, we should have a national speed limit on the highways of 15MPH, because if it saves one life by stopping one high speed accidents it will be worth it.

It’s all BS.  The left is mocking GA Governor Brian Kemp for “opening GA.”  The key question no one ever asks these 50 wannabe dictators is, “By whose authority was the state shut down?”  As far as I know, governors in America do not become super legislators writing laws and proscribing sanctions if violated in the face of an epidemic.

Can a governor order a restaurant closed so his shifty brother-in-law’s slop shack across the street can flourish?  If not, how can he order every business in the state to close?  And based on what?  The all-important “data” the feds and state governments are using to kill American business has been wildly inaccurate from the start.  Yet, we continue to rely on it 38 days into a nation-wide shut down.

The morbidity rate is pure BS.  The govs are throwing every death possible into the Wuhan Virus pool.  But an inaccurate Chinese Virus death toll doesn’t begin to uncover the biggest problem with the morbidity rate.  The “data” on the total number of Wuhan cases – the denominator if you will - could be off by as much as 5-10 times.  If true, the morbidity rate would fall through the floor.

Of course “the experts” claim they won’t know the denominator until long after the crisis passes. How convenient.  One thing is absolutely certain, the denominator is going to go up and the morbidity rate is going to drop.

What is a bit difficult for my small mind to understand is that, while he unlawfully ordered a state-wide shut down, Kemp is not ordering anyone to open or anyone to patronize the open business.  He’s simply lifting his unlawful order.  Yet, everyone is coming down on him as if he’s ordering the spread of the virus.

Further, it seems to me, if we can figure out how to shop safely at the Kroger - an approved activity - we can also figure out a safe way to dine out and get our hair cut.

With regard to tattoos, that industry is probably more suited to open than most.  It was affected by the HIV scare and established safe operating procedures that remain in place today to deal with that virus.  It was probably safe to get a tattoo from the start.

Bankruptcy is also above of Gov Murphy’s paygrade
NJ Governor Phil Murphy, a man who admits that the constitution is “above” his paygrade as he orders cops to violate citizens’ civil rights, has his shorts in a wad over Mitch McConnell thinking states ought to be forced into bankruptcy rather than relying on the nation to bail out poorly run lefty lib states.  My opinion is F__K ‘em.  And if the federal government does offer assistance, that money should come with a list of restrictions a mile long for most, two miles long for sh*tholes like NJ, NY, MI, CA etc.

Today’s JG rant: one of these things is not like the others
In his lame attempt at humor “Bank’s brainstorm could clear national debt” of April 21, 2020, Clyde Markley demonstrates what happens when people insulate themselves with the like-minded and live in a logic free zone for decades.

Living such a sheltered existence, I suppose it was outside Markley’s abilities to discern the difference between the Wuhan Virus and the other viruses and ailments he lists in a misguided letter that only the JG’s like-minded editors would think worthy of print.  Maybe the Sesame Street clue will help Markley:  One of these things is not like the others.

Unlike the other sicknesses Markley lists, the Chinese Virus was purposefully loosed on the world by the Communist Chinese Party.  The Chinese knowingly misled the world on the contagious nature of the Wuhan Virus.  While the Communist Chinese bastards closed Wuhan to the rest of China, they continued to allow flights from Wuhan to the rest of the world thereby willingly and knowingly spread infection. They have destroyed documentation of the nature of the disease and Chinese doctors who dared tell the truth about the disease have disappeared.

For people not cloistered in Markley’s logic free zone, these facts indicate, at best, negligence, or at worst, malicious intent on the part of the Communist Chinese government.  In either case it shouldn’t be thought unreasonable for the Chinese to be held to account.  The Communist Chinese should either make financial amends to the world or be shunned and isolated until they do.

Banks' brainstorm could clear national debt
It has been well documented that Rep. Jim Banks is suggesting (shall we say, demanding) that China pay for the damage coronavirus has caused our nation. While many people say this notion is preposterous, I believe we should examine this in greater detail. It could be that the honorable Mr. Banks is really on to something here.
And perhaps we should carry this brainstorm a step further.
After an exhaustive 93-minute study, I have discovered other diseases and places of origin we could sue the socks off as well. I suggest the following list could provide enough money to pay off the national debt. God knows we have enough attorneys to tackle the list. After all, since the quarantine, ambulance chasers have nothing to chase.
Although this is not a complete list, it is a great place to start: Malaria originated in Africa. Diphtheria was discovered in France. Gout? Paris and London are both to blame. Smallpox was first found in Egypt. Hoof and mouth disease: Rush Limbaugh?
Go get 'em, litigators!
