The Wednesday round up

Death toll fakers
The death toll, though horrific, is probably nowhere near as bad as corrupt Democrat politicians want us to believe.  Lex has posted a couple of times about pols running up the death count a la Puerto the Hurricane Maria death toll in Puerto Rico - in an effort to secure more federal funding and to make PDJT look bad.  Here's another example of Democrats not letting a crisis go to waste in their never ending effort to divide then destroy the country.

The only things all Trump voters believe
Senile and deranged azzbag Slowly Joe Biden said, “They [all Trump voters] think all Mexicans are rapist.”  No. All Trump voters believe you’re an idiot and you and your lying, thieving, worthless, no talent, drug addicted, dead beat dad of a son are flaming PsOS.

After Wuhan Virus, county needs to pass fiscal responsibility pack
As the Caligula, D.C. azzbags rush to roll out Wuhan Virus stimulus package #57, maybe the time is ripe for Republicans to propose a balanced budget amendment and a nickel a gallon gas tax that is immediately applied against the deficit.

One thing is certain, no plan that would put the country back on the track to fiscal responsibility would ever pass muster with anti-American Democrats – AOC+3 and such.  That should not prevent Republicans from proposing the plan and make the Democrats vote against it every week before the November election.

Today’s JG rant
There’s not much to disagree with Nancy Vinson’s letter “Pandemic highlights society’s inequities” of Apr18, 2020.  She notes,
“the worker bees, who get sick, go to war, arrest the other workers and go into debt to get an education to achieve the ‘American dream.’”

Certainly they are the backbone of the country, but she conveniently leaves out the fact that, except for “getting sick”, the “worker bees” volunteer for all of the other activities. They do so to provide for themselves and their families as best they can in order raise their own standard of living.  They do so in the hope of getting ahead and achieving the American Dream – which is very real and requires no snarky air quotes.

With regard to why gun sales are essential, there’s this pesky little thing called the Constitution which contains the 27 plain words of the Second Amendment.  Before leftists destroyed public education, School kids used to learn such things in the classroom.

For reference, here’s the operative portion of that amendment: ”… the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Reasonable people might consider an onerous government hack ordering gun stores to close their doors during an emergency as an infringement.  It’s really pretty simple stuff.

Pandemic highlights society's inequalities
The April 12 editorial, “Crisis lays bare Indiana's misplaced priorities,” is excellent. I hope everyone reads it and then, as I did, refers to it on social media as a must-read.
So, thank you.
When I see an editorial like this or hear a credible news program speaking truth, it gives me hope.
I'm sad to see our world suffer so.
I want to see things go back to “normal,” but I fear for my kids and grandkids because we (our family and extended family) are the worker bees, not the top 1% or even top 20%. It's always those in the trenches, the worker bees, who get sick, go to war, arrest the other workers and go into debt to get an education to achieve the “American dream.”
The backbone of our country is certainly not the politicians, but the rest of us.
And just wondering whether anyone knows why gun sales are considered “essential”? To me, it makes so much more sense to make flower sales essential.
Nancy Vinson
