For MSM it's the narrative that matters, truth be damned

As soon as I heard about the shooting in a news room, I waited for the Lefty Libs to melt again.  “IT’S ALL TRUMP’s FAULT!! HE HATES THE MEDIA!!!”  First off, is PDJT telling the truth about the MSM?  Are about 98% of the American MSM enemies of the state?  If you happen to be PDJT and 91% of all MSM news stories about you are negative and many just plain made up, you might rightly come to that conclusion.

 

If you’re a 60 something ordinary guy, you’ve known since you stumbled across the history of New York Times reporter Water Duranty’s cover for Soviet communists starving people back in the 1930s that the MSM by-and-large has advocated against American interest forever. The old Lex adage, “If they are not commies, how would their behavior be any different if they were” comes t0 mind.  The MSM roots for America’s enemies in wars, trade, laws, politics, protests etc. etc. 

When one of these shooting occurs, what is the MSM knee jerk reaction?  Well it’s always, “Screw America.  Screw due process.  Screw America as founded.  Round up every gun in America.  Put Americans who do not comply in jail.”    

Now that we know that PDJT’s rhetoric had nothing to do with the shooting, I’m waiting for Lefty Lib reaction to the shooting this morning.  In addition to the outrage because the target was a newsroom the, “Nobody needs a shotgun to go hunt…no, wait” – WTF do we do now” reaction will be priceless.

It’s funny – not funny, peculiar – that the MSM gets all out of joint when they are targeted by a shooter but refuse to cover the carnage that takes place in strictly gun controlled Chicago nearly every weekend. A dead journalist is an outrage while a dead kid in Chicago is, “Meh, sh*t happens.”

My guess is that storyline will be, “This shooting could have just as easily been because of PDJT’s attacks on the MSM.  The president MUST stop his attacks on the media.”  If we’re going down that road, it could have just as easily been because a great many Americans recognize what a bunch of lying sh*ts you are.

The MSM wants – nay - demands the same free run they’ve enjoyed with Republicans for 40 years to trash them with impunity and get not one bit of pushback from the Reps.  The MSM’s biggest complaint about PDJT is: “PDJT isn’t play the game right.”  He slaps the MSM around like a MS-13 gang leader slaps around his chick who gets caught talking with the cops.    

The MSM just does not how to react when someone fights back.  When they do not have a completely free run they’re lost.

And most important, they never consider looking inward.  What is PDJT saying about us?  Is any of it true?  Why is our coverage over 90% negative?  Why are we over the top critical of PDJT for doing the exact same things The Empty Suit did?  Why aren’t we happy about peace on the Korean Peninsula, a booming economy, defat of ISIS, etc.? 

None of that means that anyone should be shot.  It also means that when someone is shot, the immediate reaction should not be: “It’s all PDJT’s fault!!!”

How did PDJT go from an acceptable moderately left-wing lib, who regularly appeared on TV and news shows to the delight of the networks, to a raging racist and Nazi in a year? Simple, he shlongged Shrillda the Hutt.  That’s it.

It’s not going to change.  PDJT isn’t going to get up one morning and have an epiphany, “You know, I’ve been way tough on the MSM.  91% negative coverage isn’t that bad.” 

Neither is the MSM going to change.  They are now way too deeply invested in Trump Derangement Syndrome to change.  After more than a year of telling the American people that PDJT is Hitler in a Klan outfit, where do they go - Emily Litella - “Never Mind”?      

Gun grabbers nightmare
The shotgun used in the newsroom shooting presents a big problem for the gun grabbers.  The shotgun is a universally recognized hunting weapon.  The shotgun in close quarters – schools, newsrooms, night clubs etc. - is a way more effective weapon to wreak havoc on a crowd than semi-automatic weapons. 

So if the lefties get their wish and ban AR weapons, it will have the unintended consequence of forcing shooters to use more effective close quarters weapons. Isn’t that how it always works when Lefty’s “fix” a problem?

It just keeps getting better, too much winning

It was a double whammy that sent the Demo-Dopes staggering like Ned the wino two hours after breaking into AF Bros wine locker.  After the swift kick to the Left’s groin that was a very reasonable ruling from the Supremes that stated the obvious, you cannot make people join your club, Anthony Kennedy shoved a sharp stick in the Lefty Lib’s eye by announcing his retirement causing Libs to melt faster than Frosty the Snowman taking a walk on the Kilauea lava flow.

Their agony, which they cannot hide and think is universal, is delicious.

I blame the unions.  Had they tried in the slightest to play both sides of the political aisle, 75-25, or not at all, fewer members would be POd. Their all-in attitude with the Demo-Dopes had PO half the members.  Even the vaunted “independents” would supposedly be POd half the time.

Now the Dopes are using Kennedy’s retirement as a call to arms on the abortion issue. They clam if PDJT get his pick, abortion will banned in America.  I doubt it.  Even if Roe is reversed, my brilliant legal mind tells me it will only push the abortion issue back to the states where it belonged in the first place. It’s unlikely that New York California and a dozen or so other states are invoke a ban on abortion if the Supremes strike down Roe.

What I do not get about the Supreme Court is how the Justices can judge cases against the same document and somehow so consistently come down on opposite side of the opinion.  Were justices simply judge cases against the Constitution, it seems to that there would be more 7-2 decisions than 5-4.  It therefore must be a political where one side judges against the Constitution and the other side judges by how things ought to be.  How “things ought to be” is a pretty fuzzy standard.

Demo-Dopes are vowing to fight tooth and nail to deny PDJT his nominee.  Good luck.  You’ll lose anyway and look like the d-bags that you are in the process.

Immigration bill
Time to break the thing and get people on the record on the individual pieces.  Start with an up or down vote on mandatory E-Verify.  E-verify should pass 100-0, because after all, the Dopes are all for background checks.

Then take up chain migration.  Make the Dopes defend an illegal alien bringing in 20-35 “family members.”

Then take up the immigration lottery.  Make the dopes defend pulling name out of a hat to see who can come into the country.  Does anyone believe that a lottery is good migration policy?

Then trade 100% funding for the wall for a clean DACA.

Supreme Court rulings reignite Lefty Lib election night blues, and it's wonderful

It’s not the euphoria felt on election night, but the unhinged Lefty Lib reaction to the Supreme Court’s 5-4 ruling on PDJT’s travel ban is fun and telling.  The Lefty Libs are now screaming support for chaotic, terrorist supporting (or at least terrorist neutral) countries.  It’s becoming clear the Dopes will support anything but America.

It’s funny to listen to the unhinged rhetoric.  “IT’S A MOOOOOOOOOSLIM BAN!!!!”  So 5 of 50 or so MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLIM majority countries are covered in the travel ban.  That leaves what, almost 45 countries that are not, right?  So is 45 greater than 5?  Why yes, I believe that it is.

That nonsensical logic is like putting sign in the window of a store, “No felons allowed” and Keith Ellison rushing to the press to bitch that it’s a ban on Demo-Dopes.  Sure nearly all felons are Dopes but not all Dopes are felons. 

The scary part is that 4 Lefty Lib judges inserted PDJT’s thought process into their decision rather than rule on the constitutionality of the ban itself.  So we are 1 vote away from judges being able to judge us not only by what we do but what we were/are thinking as well.  We’re one vote away from everything becoming a “hate crime.” 

The next step in the scenario pre-crime. “What’s the problem officer.”  “You’re riding in the left lane.  I’m going to ticket you for probable intent to speed at some point in your journey.”  Of course pre-crime will only apply to conservatives.

I think the joy at Lefty Lib unhingedness will be reignited at about 10am this morning when/if the Supremes vote on forced union participation for public employees.  If they strike that down the left will melt again.

Anytime someone asks how I could have voted for PDJT, I tell them, not because of his refined demeanor, his crystal clear way of explaining complicated things, his Madisonian understanding of the constitution etc.  I voted for him because he was the last best hope for America.  Had the Hutt won, America was done for.  That’s it.  It was no more complicated than that.

No PDJT.  No Gorsuch.  No America as founded.  Pretty simple.

It cannot be long until Shrillda the Hutt grabs a shopping cart and finds a bridge somewhere to live under.  She’s cracking up.  No one can think that they are sooooo entitled to something to become this obsessed with why she didn’t get it. 

While in Oxford, the Hutt insinuated that she won the election but lost due to some last second unknown electoral rule changes imposed by PDJT and some shadowy cabal.  Last second in this case means Sep 1787 and the cabal was the Constitutional Convention – led by its President George Washington.

The Hutt claiming victory because she won the popular vote is like a basketball coach saying his team won the game because they got the most rebounds.  That’s not the metric for determining the winner of a basketball game and everyone knows it.

Now that she has gotten her fat, worthless, stupid, lying, rape enabling azz whipped by a political novice who obviously understood the rules of the game better than the sleazy life-long Caligula, D.C. ruling class SFB who the MSM once dubbed the “smartest woman in the world” that old, old, old hag commences bitching about the rules.

That’s funny because the worthless sick old colostomy bag never once brought up the Electoral College when she was thought to have started the race with as much as a 78 vote advantage.  I cannot find the Hutt quote indicating she’d cede the election to Trump if he got the most votes.

If the rules were changed to favor the popular vote, I’m not so sure PDJT wouldn’t beaten the Hutt like a drum anyway.  I’m sure PDJT would have rallied upstate New Yorkers and inland Californians.

A call to arms, literally and figuratively

Literally in the sense that we need to arm, rearm, upgrade our firearms and restock our ammo*, because the Lefty Libs are so rapidly skidding off the rails that sustained violence cannot be far away.

*NOTE: If you are shooting Xs at a 1,000 yards like Infidel, you’ll probably want to load your own.

Dope “leaders” are just now mildly calling for civility, not because things are rapidly spiraling out of control, but rather because they are sensing the middle is crumbling against them on this issue. If they thought the issue would work for them, I guarantee you they wouldn’t give a crapola if the country burned to the ground.

What the Dopes might find out is that the flames of rage that they so carefully fanned and stoked have gone too far for them to simply stamp out now with half-hearted condemnation.   

PDJT has jumped the on issue and noted that the Dope party is now the party of Grand Nan from San Fran Pelooser and Maxine dumber than hoe handle Waters.  That’s not a good look for anyone.  In fact, by any standard, it is a down right ugly look.  The brand will stick.  PDJT’s branding always sticks. “Cryin’ Chuck” knows it.

The Figurative call to arms is in the sense that we need to get to polls in sufficient numbers to off-set Dope felons, illegals and dead people (all major Dope constituencies) who will be voting for Dopes in the mid-term.

I classify myself as a broken glass Republican – as in I will crawl on my belly like a reptile over broken glass to vote this Nov.

Have you noticed that after the worst MSM Dope pounding in history, PDJT is winning the day on the border security with a simple notion that Dopes want open borders in order to flood the country with illegal aliens who will vote Dope, crowd schools, hospitals and welfare lines while Republicans are for securing the border. 

It's the simplicity of the spot on message that makes it so effective.  Dopes know it and are beginning to run scared.  They'd have been 100 miles down the road were it  not for the unhinged Lefty Libs chained to them holding them to anti-American positions.

Having learned nothing from 2016, the Dopes are doubling down on a losing issue.  Good for them.  News flash: Wyle E. Coyote continues to drop Acme anvils on his head.

  

Today’s JG rant
After yesterday’s letter to the JG editor, I received this in the e-mail from the JG editors: 

Doug, we recently printed a letter from you. We try to print only one letter every 30 days from the same person...thank you. 

I responded: 

Dear unsigned person:

Thanks to the JG for printing my letter.  However, the JG printed it under a totally dishonest and misleading headline...again.  Any fair-minded person at the JG would recognize that. An accurate headline for my letter would have been: Endangering children unchristian 

Simply read the letter and choose between the two headlines:

'Unchristian' policies maintain order, safety 

Given the choice, I do not think 1 in a 100 people would choose the headline the JG used. 

Just like the last time I called the JG out on this issue, I believe the headline was a purposeful attempt by the JG to distort the meaning of the letter.  

The JG should make a correction, apologize and move on. 

Last, I know the JG’s editorial line.  Fine.  The JG buys the ink and newsprint and can print what it chooses, but if it wishes to maintain the veneer of being community oriented and even-handed, the JG should put a stop to such ham-handed deceit.  It only serves to reinforce the growing opinion among Americans that the media cannot be trusted. 

Is there an ombudsman at the JG to register this complaint?

Of course you think the headline is accurate. Unchristian policies maintain order, safety - parentheses or no - is an unnecessary distortion, and I think you know it.  If President Trump visited Ft. Wayne by walking on water up the Maumee River, the headline in the morning JG would be, "Trump can't swim" and you'd think that was accurate as well.  

I appreciate that the JG would use nonsensical headlines to encourage me to stop writing, but I think I'll continue to write and challenge bogus ideas and headlines when they occur in the hope that professionalism and honesty will eventually win the day.  As I noted before, it's your paper.  You can be as underhanded or honest as you choose.

Masterpiece Bakery way more tolerant than the Red Hen

Sarah Sanders leaving, not kicked out as is widely reported, a VA restaurant is not anything like the Masterpiece Bakery case.

Sanders was asked to leave.  She did.  No cops.  No lawyers.  No lawsuits.  No scene.

Masterpiece NEVER asked any homosexuals to leave their store.

Masterpiece was asked to use their artistic talents outside the public enterprise that was their bakery to supply a special cake for a private homosexual union.

The corollary to that for the Red Hen would be if Sarah Sanders asked them cater a private event in the backroom of the restaurant or at her home.

Another big difference is that the people at Masterpiece demonstrated much more tolerance than those at the Red Hen.

A quadruple JG rant  

You have got to be kidding me.  You cannot be serious.  If the editorial staff at the JG ever wonders why the American people place journalist just behind pimps, prostitutes and pornographers on their “trusted list,” you need look no further than the dishonest headline the JG put over my letter, “‘Unchristian’ policies maintain order, safety” of Jun 24, 2018.    

The point of my letter, obvious to anyone capable of reading, is that it is not the policies that are unchristian, it is the lame brains who put children at risk by thinking that laws and rules do not apply to them. 

If the JG had any sense of fair play or shame it would issue and immediate correction.  For the record, an accurate headline for my piece would be:  Endangering children unchristian

While I’m tilting at this windmill, since the headline was obviously willful in its intent to mislead, an apology is also in order.

I encourage Daniel O'Neil (“Immigration policy un-Christian,” June 17) to engage in this thought experiment.

Imagine a man loads up a couple of kids in the neighborhood, promising to take them to Cedar Point. The man speeds down the highway recklessly at more than 100 mph. When the police pull him over, he cries that the cop is unchristian because he stopped him with his kids.

When he gets to the Point, he speeds by the parking attendant. When park security catches up with him, he cries foul because he's with his kid.

Then the man takes the kids to the side of the park and they all climb over the fence, entering the park without paying. When park security stops them again, the man is upset, demanding leniency because, after all, the kids.

Inside the park, the man walks past a long line of parkgoers, some with their own kids, and inserts himself and the kids at the head of the line. When people protest, he tells them that they are unchristian and that they have to let them go first because of the kids.

When the man takes the kids to the park store, he encourages them to take whatever they want without paying. Having had enough of the man, he is arrested and the kids detained. The man demands that the kids be returned to him to serve out their time in an adult detention center with murderers, rapists and thieves or turned loose back in the park if they promise to show up for a hearing on the matter scheduled in a year or so.

Now, just who is being unchristian? The people maintaining order and safety, or the irresponsible man who puts himself and the kids at risk and above the rules at every step of this journey?

Wow, Saturday’s (Jun 23, 2018) editorial page was really, really even-handed.  First, Fort Wayne’s own self-appointed soothsayer Terry Doran, in Christ-like fashion, separates the weeds from the wheat. 

He condemns to hell President Trump and all who might think enforcing a law passed by the duly elected representatives of the people and enforced by Presidents Bush and Obama before Trump is okay. Nice.

This is good to know. Heretofore, I thought Jesus was going to send angles to separate the weeds from the wheat on Judgment Day. Now that I know that all I have to do is check in with Doran, it changes everything.

Michael Romary’s snarky letter of thanks to Jeff Sessions with the obligatory Trump equals Hitler reference followed Doran’s.  Romary’s letter was followed by Thomas E. Sagendorf’s letter decrying law enforcement doing what they are sworn to do.

I encourage the JG to continue its one-sided assault on the Second Amendment and the rule of law as it applies to our borders.  Both are easily understood issues by Hoosier voters.

Here’s how the senatorial debate might go:

So Mexico Joe (Donnelly), is the Second Amendment directed at hunting rights, as the editorial staff at the JG seems to believe, or is it directed toward the natural right of American citizens for self-defense?

So Mexico Joe (Donnelly), are you for enforcing the laws congress passed governing who and how people can immigrate to the United States or do you still favor the open borders bill you co-sponsored in the senate that would allow 160  million un-vetted foreign nationals to enter the country?

What?  Mexico Joe (Donnelly) doesn’t think the number is 160 million.  Okay.  What is the acceptable number of terrorists, MS-13 gang members, uneducated, poor, low skill workers you are willing to let into the country?  Once that number is reached, how do you plan to cut off the flow?  Remember, border security apparently is out of the question.

'One-way ticket to hell' for policy's enforcers

There's a one-way ticket to hell reserved for Jeff Sessions who, in a talk about immigration right here in the City of Churches, blamed the parents for his cruel and heartless separation of children from their parents.

“They are the ones who broke the law; they are the ones who endangered their own children on their trek,” Sessions said. And he cited the Bible as his justification; his reasoning was backed up by Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who said “... it is very biblical to enforce the law.”

It apparently never occurred to Sessions to change the law. Or to actually read the Bible, where he would find this passage: “Woe to those who enact unjust statues and issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of fair treatment and withhold justice from the oppressed...” Or this one: “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

Seems pretty clear to me. Those families Sessions is sentencing to a life of hopeless despair, if they even survive, are the very definition of oppressed – fleeing for their lives, seeking hope and a chance for a new life in the richest country on earth, only to see the door slammed in their face and to stand by helplessly while their children are ripped screaming from their arms, including even an infant breast-feeding.

But Sessions needn't worry. He won't be alone. He'll have plenty of company.

Thanks for doing this in our names. Keep up the good work, Mr. Sessions. The City of Churches, as Fort Wayne was known when I lived there 38 years ago, appreciates it deeply.

Trump's vision rapidly replacing Lady Liberty's

On our Statue of Liberty are engraved these words: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free...”

It happened on a sunny morning in June. Employees gathering at a well-known landscaping concern in Sandusky, Ohio. Suddenly, complete chaos. Shouting, fear, intense confusion. Immigration officials descended en masse with guns, chains and rope, rounding up confused employees like cattle. Donald Trump's gendarmes. Brutalizing people and taking them into custody without explanation. Soon to be behind bars, ghettos, separating them from families and dependent children. No communication.

This scene of cruel brutality was created by an out-of-control government agency. It's President Trump's idea of immigration policy enforcement. 

This is today's America. Raw, brutish power used by unaccountable government agencies, whether on the shores of Lake Erie or the borders of Texas and Arizona. A clear sign that our democracy is under attack.

Is this who we are? Is this what we've become? Will we stand by idly as Trump strips Lady Liberty of her torch, her majestic robes and her welcome to the “tempest-tossed” seeking a new way of life? Replaced by an image of “the Donald” himself wielding a sledgehammer with a sign that says “KEEP OUT!”?

The very foundations of our democracy are at stake, and it will continue to get worse until we loyal Americans resolve to send Trump to the place he belongs – the ash heap of history.

Dems: Uh Oh PDJT gave us what we wanted. Outrageous!! What do we do now?

Like Lex ordering at restaurant, the Dopes got what they asked for only to find out they really don’t want it. So I order the burger then see the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich being delivered at the next table – Oooooh man that looks good - and know I made a mistake.

So the Dopes want families held together. PDJT obliged them and they have gone batsh*t crazy.  One word – E-X-P-O-S-E-D - exposed.  Exposed in a way that even a brain-dead idiot can see.  All the posturing, whining and wailing had nothing to with separating children.  

It’s all about open borders.  Open border are all about importing Dope voters.  It is not any more complicated than that.

PDJT has set the table for the mid-term.  All the Republicans need to do is ride the Trump tiger.  If you want open borders vote Dope.  If you want order at the border vote Republican.

Beautifully, anything the court does to reverse PDJT EO while Dopes refuse to fix the law will shine a brighter light the Dopes.  PDJT can step back and say, “See, they want catch and release.  They want millions and millions of undocumented un-vetted criminal illegal aliens to flood our country taking your jobs and God knows what else.”  Pretty easy, no?

So now the bare fundamentals of family separation issue have been laid bare.  The country can detain families – separating the children or not – or allow any smuggler with person under the age of 18 tagging along to roam free.  That’s it.  Those are the choices.

For criminals, family separation happens pretty consistently in around the world.  Children are rarely incarcerated with their parents.  In fact, if any of us willfully and purposefully exposed a minor to the kind of dangers these “responsible” parents expose “their children” to, child protective services would step and separate us from our kids.      

As they become less influential the Left will visit more violence upon us

I just do not know why dueling was outlawed.  It solved a lot of problems.  I guarantee you society would be a whole lot more civil were loudmouthed d-bags like Pete Fonda shot through the eye at 20 paces for threatening to kidnap the president’s son, Barron.

DJT jr.  hit the nail on the head when he tweeted:  You’re clearly a sick individual and everyone is an internet badass but rather than attack an 11 year old like a bully and a coward why don’t you pick on someone a bit bigger. LMK

For dummies like me, I had to look up the LMK – shorthand for Let Me Know.

I think anyone who has watched the Trump boys – Eric and Don jr. - handle a gun, would tread very lightly indeed were they likely to get shot for their BS.

Can you imagine the turnover in late night TV “comedy” hosts if they got their azzes shot off when they lied and impugned the wrong guy? Bill Maher, Steve Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel et al would all go to the Johnny Carson/Jay Leno model or all be dead men walking.   

In the post under in a brilliant response to an unhinged #NEVERTRUMPer, Lex pointed out the Lefty Lib response to every single issue boils down to Bob Di Nero’s: “F-Trump.”

I do not know that advocating for the kidnapping of PDJT’s son, calling Trump women Cs, shouting F-you at the president in the Capitol Building and a long line of other profane issue-devoid insults and epitaphs is a winning strategy.  My guess is that the only people who such BS appeals to is the base and repels everyone else. 

So while I find the profane threat of violence by unhinged Lefty Libs dangerous and off putting, I encourage the Left to continue down that path, because I believe when push comes to shovel they’ll take an extreme azz beating literally and at the polls.

I do think as the Left becomes more agitated and less influential, the threat of real violence by the Left is increasing and becoming more mainstream.  We know the criminal class is a natural constituency for the Demo-Dope Party.  That’s why Dope governors are quick to restore felon voting rights.  As a result, the Dope base is prone to crime and violence.

I think the Left is going to visit violence on Republican rallies during the mid-terms.  Sadly, we know that Dope pols will demand that police refrain from maintaining order at these events.  At some point the Left’s violent nature as seen at the congressional baseball practice last year is going to reach full bloom.  Then what?  Dope pols won’t let police protect the rallies.  The only option will be to protect yourself.

PDJT skunks Dopes again
I was a bit depressed when I heard that PDJT “caved” on immigration by signing an Executive Order to reunite law breaking families.  Then I heard the MSM/Dope reaction to it and I had hope again.

Only PDJT could brag about his wealth in front of a working class crowd and be cheered for it.  Mitt Romney ran from his wealth.  PPDJT embraces it.  He brings it up as in “Hey I want all of us do as well as I have done.”  He eats fast food, swears, talks in terms we all understand, is a bit overweight, unabashedly stands up for America – all things the “elites” cannot stand, but average Americans love.

No one will condemn you for standing for the Anthem. A great many will if you kneel.  The NFL is a business.  The idea is to get the largest audience possible.  So why do something that POs 3/4ths of the fan base?

I’m not a lawyer, I know who both my parents are, BADABOOM – but this seems like fruit from the poisonous tree.  All of Nigong Mueller’s charges came after a clear bias was demonstrated to exist among the investigators who forced the investigation on false pretexts.

Take John Stevens’s letter, “GOP’s vacuousness becoming more evident” of Jun 20, 2018.  Reading that letter was like watching the stunned mullet look on Clinton supporters’ faces gathered for her “victory party” at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York.  The venue was chosen because the atrium had a glass ceiling that Clinton was going to symbolically crash through.  By 9pm the weeping began and has not stopped since.  The Ceiling at the Javits Center symbolically and literally remains intact.

Hilariously, Stevens demonstrated his total lack of self-awareness by stringing together more than a half dozen invectives directed at how (trigger warning) President Donald J. Trump is dividing the country, ironically ending by condemning (trigger warning) President Trump for – get this – “name-calling.”  That’s good stuff.  Its logic is like those fascist social justice warriors on campus using the hecklers veto to shout down conservative speakers in the name of free speech.

It’s made even more hilarious coming from the Democrat side whose main political and policy argument these days was made by Robert Di Nero, “F-Trump.”

News flash to Stevens and other #NEVERTRUMPers.  (Trigger warning) President Donald J. Trump was not elected because he possessed a Washingtonian demeanor, a Madisonian understanding of the constitution or the oral ability of Henry Clay.       

I did run across one nugget of truth in Stevens’s screed, if voters want to reverse the current economic boom, they should definitely vote Democrat.           

 

OP's vacuousness becoming more evident

I am getting weary of Republicans and conservatives playing the whiny “you are being mean to us” card. Are they all so boneheaded that they don't know they won? They control the Senate and  House and Supreme Court and White House. What is it they want? They are in control. Perhaps it has something to do with what they won: Donald Trump. The tweeter-in-chief is an excellent example of how one can win and lose in one fell swoop. Trump has so polarized and divided this country and his own party with his ignorant, thin-skinned, lying, narcissistic, flip-flopping, loud-mouthed, name-calling self that he is experiencing as great a congressional gridlock as nearly any president before him. The turnover in his administration seems to be higher than that of a fast-food restaurant. His administration, which he claims is “running like a well-oiled machine,” is a gyre of chaos and treachery. It is no wonder the White House leaks like a sieve; no one in there can trust anyone else or be certain he or she will have a job in three days' time.

Trump has clearly lied and obstructed justice since his presidency began, along with throwing away the vast majority of trust and cooperation of our allies – except, of course, Saudi Arabia, the country from which 15 of the 19 9/11 conspirators originated. And he wants us to be afraid of Mexicans? If indeed, it seems to some that the media has a bias against Trump and Republicans, perhaps it is because they are reporting news as it is, rather than the wishful thinking, denial and lies being perpetrated on already-prejudiced patrons of Fox “News.” In a “post-truth” era such as the one in which we are living, of course facts and responsible news reporting would be eschewed by many simply because it is something they do not want to hear. So, Republicans and other conservatives, if you want something done besides giving huge tax cuts to the top 1 percent, take a leadership role and do it. Hopefully, in the midterm and the next presidential elections, this tide of backward movement in nearly every aspect of economy and society can be reversed, and the mistakes and purposeful retrogression they do can be overturned.
