Could banning words be a chink in the armor of free speech?

An ESPN writer has been sacked leaving a permanent black mark that not even spic and span can remove. It’s not even certain if the chief financial officer, a niggardly tribe if ever there were such one, will honor his salary. His crime against humanity was to use the word “chink” properly in a headline to describe New York Knick phenom Jeremy Lin. As in: “Chink in the armor” referring to Lin’s 9 turnovers in a game.

The offending party, Anthony Federico, apologized to no effect. Does it ever work?  No.  Why even try? He’d have been better off if he’d just said, “I tried to avoid the use of the word chink, but bug-eater, zipper-head, fish-head and gook just didn’t seem as clever a fit.”

Of course, Jeremy Lin graciously accepted the apology and said it wasn’t a big deal. Not good enough for the race police at ESPN. No way could they give a 28 year old kid with a wife - who oddly enough is Asian - a break. They had to ruin his life just in case any of the excrement rolled in their direction. The writer has way more sense and integrity than the dopes who fired him.

The only thing worse than the spineless creeps who fired this guy are the even creepier creeps piling on.  Oh, how could he have been so insensitive?  You just can't do that.  Never mind that the kid said he didn't realize his mistake until it was too late.  Never mind that the kid apologized.  The sanctimonious BS artists couldn't care less about what what Frederico wrote, thay are just interested in burnishing their own moral superiority with some faux outrage at what was a mistake.

Sports people always strike me as odd. The athletes and coaches can be forgiven. The owners and front office people can be excused as well. They are running a business. But what kind of loser makes a living writing and talking about the athletic prowess of others 24-7? Usually these sports guys are old, fat, bald, white guys telling us where the sleek young black man failed. Yeah, sure, I watch. So what? These old un-athletic wannbes are as pathetic as some guy tapping out 700 words in his PJs every morning for a blog nobody reads. Hey, waaaaaaaait a minute.

Just in time for Black History month
The P-BO went on YouTube to announce the formation of the 2012 African Americans for the P-BO. This is stupid on so many levels.

One - why waste your time? 98% of blacks vote Demo-Dope - any Demo-Dope - even a jug eared, brain dead affirmative action pass through every election anyway.  If he's trying to shore up that group, he's in serious trouble.

Two – Shouldn’t the P-BO have let one his race baiting gravy stain surrogates make this announcement? He might have asked Rev? Jessie Hymietown Jackson make the announcement and color the announcement with a rhyme about rainbow Americans for the P-BO. As in:

Every four years appears the rainbow
In support of our jug eared P-BO.

The power of the rainbow
Can insure that the P-BO
Gets enough votos
To beat the Republican RINO.

Oh, is Hymietown more offensive than the word chink? Apparently not.

Three - It seems racist for the P-BO himself making a plea for the African American vote, which is already locked up. Imagine Santorum announcing the 2012 white evangelical gun toting Bible clingers for Rick drive.

Four – This is what the Demo-Dopes in general and the P-BO in particular do. Divide, divide and continue to divide until you get the votes. Have you noticed that the P-BO and his handlers never say that you should vote for them because they have done X, Y and Z and will do A, B and C if re-elected? It’s always, Romney is a big business crony. Santorum wants to snatch your birth control. Paul will snatch your welfare check. Newt will send you to his moon colony. Because everything that they have done is so unpopular, it’s never about one thing that they have done or will do.
