Detroit is the perfect backdrop for a Dope Labor Day speech

If you’d like to see what happens when big labor and the Demo-Dope party are put in charge of something over an extended period of time visit Detroit.  Detroit is a shining example of what happens when a population thinks it is voting itself largess from a city treasury by voting Dope.  The people can vote themselves benefits paid for by others, but the “others” in this case can vote with their feet by moving themselves and their tax dollars elsewhere.  That’s what happened in Detroit.

In the 50s Detroit was a model for what could be accomplished under regulated capitalism.  Economic stability left Detroit with the exit of the last Republican mayor in 1962.  Dopes have been running the city ever since.  The city has been in decline ever since.  Coincidence?  No.  I don’t think so.  You can see the model played out across America’s large metropolitan areas.

Dopes get elected in these areas by promising to “fight for public sector unions.”  So the unions pour money into the Dope campaign.  Fight for the union against who?  Fight for the union against the taxpayer who pays the union members salary.  How is that not a conflict of interest?  The Dope takes union money to fund his campaign then negotiates a sweetheart deal for the union who then puts money back into the corrupt Dope’s campaign.

The result of such BS situations is higher and higher taxes.  That leads to the middle class moving elsewhere and a dwindling tax base in the city.  But the Dopes are always too slow to recognize what’s happening and continue to raise taxes to make up for the shortfall created by their own stupidity.  That accelerates the flight.

When the city begins to rots it’s always the poorest neighborhoods that suffer first.  That’s Detroit today. It is a shell.  In 1950 Detroit boasted of a population of 1.8 million people.  Today it has about 700,000.

What little growth and stability idiotic government policy wasn’t able to kill off in Detroit the UAW finished off.  Once the automobile manufacturing envy of the world the, UAW has reduced the big three US auto makers to companies that spend more time negotiating health and pension benefits than they do making cars.  The big three now have one company able to stand on its own.  Chrysler goes from a subsidiary of one European car maker to another.  GM makes cars that catch fire and roll of the manufacturing line only to be immediately recalled for some major foul up.  Right now GM has nearly 29 million cars under recall orders.  As a result, anyone who is looking to build a car in the US these days moves to union free shops in the south and as far away from the UAW and Detroit as possible.

So if you’re a potential Dope presidential candidate where would go for your Labor Day speech?  If you’re America’s punch line – slow Joe Biden – you go to Detroit.  That’s like opening “The AlGore Center for Green Energy” at the abandon Solyndra building.   Might as well go to Detroit though, where is there a single success story of insane Dope politics and big labor thugery?

What might be dumber than going to a failed bankrupt US city on Labor Day?  Well if you’ve been the vice president for the last 6 years you go to that city and talk about “taking America back.”  Taking it back from whom?  You’ve been in charge for the last SIX EFFING YEARS you moron.   But yeah it’s crazy Joe.  So…

You forgot the third leg of the trifecta of urban decay.... minorities. Would it be racist to point out the number of years that people of color have been running Detroit?
