George Bush's war?

Lex recently took the family to Washington DC to see the sites. While we were there we visited the National Firearms Museum (NFM). The NFM is located outside the beltway west on US 66. In a section of the museum dedicated to the innovations of the Ruger firearms company for WWII, I found the poster pictured above.

The first thing that struck me was how utterly we have failed in the propaganda war in our struggle against the Islamo-terror-fascist. The president has done too good a job in encouraging us to get back to life as usual. That fact coupled with the fact that there has not been a significant attack against us in America since 9-11, has us thinking that life is normal except for Johnny’s math score and the nightly picture of the latest car bomb in Iraq (and of course the American body count). We are so back to “normal” that we think the only real problem we face is getting out of Iraq. Rather ironic don’t you think? The main front in the war on terror that has successfully kept us safe at home since 9-11 has us up in arms and ready to quit.

The next thing that struck me was the tag line on the poster above – “This is YOUR WAR…FIGHT IT!” Because we have gotten back to life as usual, few have accepted the fact that this is our war. Fewer yet are willing to fight our war. Teddy Kennedy and the Democrats insist on calling the main front in the war on terror George Bush’s war. With MSM, Libs and the uninformed lining up like lemmings behind Fat Ted and the overwhelming majority of the rest of just going along living life as usual, how long can it be before Fat Ted marches us over the cliff?

At some point soon the American people are going to have stop living life as usual, accept ownership of this war and begin to fight it or we can go living life as usual until the next 9-11.
