Conspiracy Theory #8-13

The NSA is under fire for gathering every bit of information possible on every American possible.   The Ed Snowden blows the whistle and flees the country to live in…what… luxury, fear for his life, the cold in Russia.  Then Michael Hastings is mysteriously killed in a high speed auto accident after telling friends of a shocking story on the NSA and the FBI.  Now the there is red alert across the globe for American travelers and embassies around the world are closed.

So embassies are closed and the rest of the traveling public is scared to death.  Yeah, we sure have al Qaeda on run.  No doubt we’ll be getting a “shelter in place” order for the entire country while the swells in Washington figure out how to waste more money we don’t have while operating under the mind-bending burden of a lousy 2% cut.

The president ran for re-election on the back of having al Qaeda on the run.  He concocted some preposterous story about a phony Internet video causing the real deaths of four Americans.   Now, that entire very real and deadly scandal is termed a “phony scandal.”  But the real filmmaker is STILL in jail.  If it’s phony, why not let him go?

Call me cynical but could this whole thing be a “phony scandal” designed to cause to forget about the real ones?   Could this be a “told you we needed the NSA snooping into every aspect of American’s lives” moment?   If things are so desperate, why is the president off on 175^th vacation?

Sadly, ANYTHING is not only possible and plausible but in this case may even be likely.
