Stuff that you may care about

AL QB AJ McCarron's mom in deep doo doo
AJ McCarron’s mom apologized for making fun of the way Jameis Winston talks.  Truth once again is no defense. The kid talks like a stereotype hood from the movies.

"I said guys, we didn't come here for no reason.  I said, 'Guys, this is ours, man.' All the adversity we went through the first few quarters, it was ours to take. And like I've been saying, we control our own destiny, and those men looked me in my eye and said 'We got this Jameis.' I said, 'Are you strong?' They said, ‘I'm strong if you strong.’ I said, 'We strong then.'"
FL State QB Jameis Winston

Using that quote as evidence, the primary purpose of college is:
1. Field an excellent football team
2. Provide a tenured atmosphere for leftist loons who occupy the faculty lounge
3. Provide an expensive 4 year party atmosphere for coeds
4. Provide a higher education to well qualified non-athletic coeds

Now I’ve known plenty of people who didn’t speak well but were otherwise intelligent people.  The ranks of the Marine Corps are filled with young men who do not speak the king’s English very well but can fix just about anything with nothing more than a Leatherman tool or shoot lights out from 500 meters or lead men to do things they didn’t think they could do.  Since early in my Marine days I’ve not confused someone’s ability to speak well with how intelligent they might be.

But this is COLLEGE football isn’t it?  College: an institution of  higher learning.  So he’s a high school graduate enrolled in COLLEGE - an institution of higher learning.  So should someone at FL St. grab this kid and say, “Look Jameis, this is embarrassing for you and the university.  I don’t know how you got out of high school talking like that, but you need to learn how to speak.  You can take all the finger painting classes, African Studies, Gay Studies, Women’s Studies needed to keep you eligible for football, but for the sake of this university’s reputation you are going to learn how to speak proper or at least passable English or there goes your scholarship.  Capiche?”  Oh, the answer to the question is “all of the above.”

What defines success for Robertscare?
Riddle me this:  There were supposedly 48 million uninsured before Robertscare.  53 million after Robertscare.  So how is having 2.5 million sign up, not pay for mind you, just sign up for Robertscare a success?  It seems to me that for this gigantic debacle to be declared a success you’d need to get at least 80% of the target population signed up and paying.  But what do I know.

Chris Christie
Given that I believe all pols are scumbags, I don’t doubt for one second that NJ Governor Chris Christie created, condoned or turned a blind eye to creating a mess for one of his political opponents.  Besides this is a bunch of Northeast Republi-Rat RINOs, the Pete King, David Brooks types who claim to be “conservatives” but like the crease of King Jerkses’ trousers and who save all of their worst criticisms for other Republicans.

What irritates me more than Christie or his minions purposefully screwing things up for the people of NJ is the media and Dope reaction to those revelations.  Christies says he didn’t know anything about the nefarious plan to punish a Dope mayor for not supporting Christies’ reelection bid.

King Jerkses has claimed ignorance or flat out lied about a whole host of scandals in his administration.  Dopes and the lapdog media just yawn and marvel at the king’s ability to put forth the same March Madness college basketball bracket as the ESPN sportswriters every year. Now Christie says he didn’t know about bridgegate and Dopes and the lapdog are howling calling for blood claiming he had to have known.

One thing is for sure, a Republican, even a Rat RINO like Christie, involved in a scandal like this is toast unless his hands are clean.  And even then the truth may not be enough of a defense.

Advice for Christie:  If you’re not involved, put it all out there by noon today.  Hold a presser, for two hours if necessary, to get everything out in one fell swoop.  Beg forgiveness and move on.  If you are involved, put it all out there in one fell swoop.  Make a 30 second statement begging forgiveness and resign.

Robert Gates
I have an opinion on Gates’ book.  The short answer is a question, what did you expect from this king and his court of un-American weasels?  So far I have not heard one thing that shocks me or even mildly surprise me.  After all, my one word descriptor for the king is – “punk.”  Has there been one thing in the excerpts released so far that would change that characterization?  No.  There hasn’t.  There has only been more supporting evidence for that descriptor.
