Go ahead and ban 'em. It will solve nothing.

A quick perusal of the Interweb finds that all manner of Caligula, D.C. swamp creature ruling class azzbags seem willing to jerk their knees and “do something” about bump stocks.  Fine.  Ban them.  But before you do you might consider that banning a bump stock will be about as effective in limiting their availability as it was when congress got the bright idea to ban beer.

Like beer, the recipe for building a do-it-yourself bump stock is out there, the ingredients are all legal to obtain, cheap and it requires no special skills or tools to complete the job.  If you doubt me, you shouldn’t but go ahead, search “DYI bump stock”” for yourself. Here and here is the tip of the iceberg of my search.

Those sites and videos indicate several things.  One, you don’t need a degree from MIT to engineer a bump stock.  Two, you don’t need a machine shop or anything outside what might be found in the typical tinkerer’s garage.  Three, none of these people look like wild-eyed mass murderers.  They look average gunners and guys who like make things. Four, none of what is required to build the bump stock would involve anyone taking out a loan or even borrowing $10 from a friend.  The necessary materials are all laying around the average garage.

NOTE: Well, on second thought, I consider myself an average gunner and had never heard of a bump stock until the Vegas shootings. So let’s call them gun enthusiasts.

Now if you’re a Lefty Lib azzbag and think, well at least it’ll take some time and effort for these “cretins” to work their evil, watch this guy use the belt loop on his trousers to bump fire an M-1 carbine.

Now do you get a sense of how stupid and asinine it is to ban this devise?  It’s like banning the sale of birdhouses.  A guy can build one in an hour using easily acquired inexpensive material – discarded pallet wood, a handsaw, drill, hammer and nails.

Maybe that’s why the Demo-Dopes want to ban bump stocks. When the ban fails, because the idiots banning them are only ½ as smart as the population they trying to regulate, the Dopes can then argue:  Well, we tried commonsense gun control and it failed.  The only answer left is a total ban and confiscation of semiautomatic weapons.  It’s the least we can do for the children.

So banning this devise is next to useless for the intended purpose.  Criminals will make their own in an hour and save money by doing so.  Knowing that the ban is useless, expect congress to move full speed ahead on it.  After all, if it weren’t for doing the useless, congress wouldn’t be doing anything at all.

Now if you’re wondering how we have slid so far into the abyss, this picture will explain a lot.  Commonsense is dead.

If the 2nd amendment was repealed what would happen? AL Capone and Joe Kennedy made fortunes on illegal liquor. Pot was made illegal. Billion dollar business for years now. Of course a massive black market would arise. The anti gun group would celebrate their supposed moral authority and create a bigger mess. Too many Americans have too much history with firearms. Bump stocks? Banning them is of no consequence either way. That is why the NRA could care less. Who needs them? If I were a rancher on the southern border I might want them. The reason being the feds won't stop cartels from crossing the border with guns, drugs, and hardened criminals. Even though the feds have that responsibility. So the feds refuse to address a big problem and the citizen is left to address it alone. A fast and furious problem down there. Thanks DC, you have done a heck of a job.
