Caving to the minority

At Dartmouth College a fund raiser for cardiac care held by the Phi Delta Alpha fraternity and the Alpha Phi sorority was cancelled.  The fund raiser was quashed because one student – no doubt a member of the ultra tolerant left – complained about the fund raiser’s theme “Phiesta” - a play on the Greek Community and Cinco de Mayo the date of the fund raiser.  The crazy part is NOT that some BS artist nit wit complained.  You’ll always have that.  It’s far easier to bitch about and “be offended” by what other people are doing than get off the couch and do something yourself.   What’s absolutely stunning is that organizers caved to the nit wit.

The joyless soulless nit wit complaining about the fund raiser, junior Daniela Hernandez, not content with her own misery wanted to share her dysfunction with as many people as possible.  So she claimed to be offended by the “Americanization of Cinco de Mayo and its construction as a drinking holiday in the United States, cultural appropriation and the inappropriate usage of cultural clothing, and the exploitation of groups of people and cultures for the sake of business opportunities.”  So FUBAR on so many levels.  Where to start?  How can this person with such poor reasoning skills be attending an Ivy League College?  Can you say, Affirmative Action?

First off Hernandez and her hyper sensitive 4X d-bag ilk ought to be ignored every time they open their sewer slits to spew forth their ignorance.  Idiot is offended by Cinco being depicted as a drinking holiday.  No matter that that is exactly what it is for the vast majority of people celebrating Cinco.  That said, the fund raiser was to include VIRGIN pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris making it possibly the only alcohol free Cinco in North America.  Then queen of the easily offended whines about “cultural appropriation and the inappropriate usage of cultural clothing.”  According to the flyers, the only “cultural appropriation” going on at the fund raiser would be the offering of traditional Mexican food and drink.  There was nothing saying that one MUST show up in a sombrero and serape to be served.  Hernandez needs to watch this piece.  Apparently, her fellow leftist a-hole travelers think it’s racist if white people don’t like Mexican food.   Hernandez’s last FUBAR complaint is about “exploitation of groups of people and cultures for the sake of business opportunities.”  Idiot!  It was a FUND RAISER for cardiac care.  Exactly what “business opportunity” is cardiac care?  Oh yeah, now that she’s had the fund raiser cancelled, what plans does Hernandez have to raise money for the cause she got cancelled?  Word is the idiot is planning a St. Patrick’s Day blow out that will include Irish stew, corn beef and cabbage and green beer.  Only those dressed as leprechauns will be served.  Asked if he would attend such a fund raiser straight, white, Christian, male Timothy O’Brien said, “Hell yeah I would.”

But as I said, it’s not the fact that some leftist lib moron is objecting that makes this story remarkable.  Someone will be there to complain about everything.  If Jesus Christ returned today and decided to give us a second chance -  if He returned us to days of Eden.  Sandy Fluke would still be complaining about free birth control.  Some woman would be complaining that Christ returned in the form of a man and Hernandez would be bitching about Christ wearing sandals - a clear exploitation of Mexican cultural clothing.

Whiners are not extraordinary.  What is extraordinary is that organizers decided to cave to Hernandez.  Phi Delt president Taylor Catchcart explained why the Greek organizations folded:

“We felt that the possibility of offending even one member of the Dartmouth community was not worth the potential benefits of having the fundraiser.”

“Even one member?”  YGBSM.  What if someone was offended that you cancelled?  What then?

A couple of post under, Lex notes that America has become a nation that is governed by the will of the minority.  This is a perfect example.  One lousy left lib whines – which by the way is their natural state – and everyone says OK.  If Daniela doesn’t want us to find a cure for cancer, well then there’s nothing we can do.  After all we do not want to offend even one member of the Dartmouth community.  Talk about minority rule and apartheid, Cambodian War hero John Kerry needs to get to Dartmouth.

Last, Condalisa Rice stepped aside as the graduation speaker at Rutgers U.  Some oh so tolerant minority of leftist had their shorts in wad because the university would dare invite the first black female SecState onto campus.  No.  Wait.  Make that first black female Republican SecState onto campus.

Are we ever going to reach a point where we politely tell whining leftist d-bags, “Oh that’s nice.  Now, go away please.”  I cannot see it, particularly on campus.
