I got this interesting piece from the Griffin yesterday:

If a Democrat is elected in November the Israeli’s will strike Iran nuke sites as best they can by mid-Nov. They may do it before then if the Iranians program is close to having the capabilities to make a bomb. GWB will have to support Israel. This should be a big campaign topic. Another scenario would be what Al-Qaeda did just before the Spanish election. The October surprise would Israel whacking Iran and McCain is then elected.

My prediction is that between Oct 1 and Nov 15th Israel strikes Iran. Israel does not play these BS games.

The last Israeli election was in Mar 2006. The Knesset is elected for four year terms but they have voted for early elections the last eight terms. If this trend holds true then Israeli elections are right around the corner.

If Binyamin Netanyahu becomes Prime Minister again, the Griffin’s prediction is likely to hold true. Here’s a bit of what Bibi has said about Iran:

It’s 1938, and Iran is Germany, and Iran is racing to arm itself with atomic bombs.

And

There is only one difference between Nazi Germany and the Islamic Republic of Iran, namely that the first entered a worldwide conflict and then sought atomic weapons, while the latter is first seeking atomic weapons and, once it has them, will then start a world war.

“As best they can” are interesting and accurate words. Early reports indicated the US would require three aircraft carriers – let’s say 75 combat aircraft each – in addition to the land based aircraft already in the Middle East, three days to destroy Iran’s nuclear capability.

A quick internet search didn’t turn up any accurate numbers of Israeli strike aircraft. I suspect the number is fewer than the US has in theater. Then the big question becomes can the Israeli Air Force surge its limited resources for the extended period required to take out the Iranian threat. We’ll see.

I can see GWB assisting with the raid as a gift to whoever follows him into the Oval Office. Even though they may condemn him to the press, deep inside they’ll be saying thank God that’s off the table for now.
