In defense of big oil

Immediately following 9-11, the (g)assbags that run congress were in high dudgeon over “intelligence failures.” So (g)assbags being (g)assbags, they did what (g)assbags do they feigned outrage. “How could this happen?” “Heads must roll!” Whose head? Well anyone’s but theirs of course. So the inevitable “hearings” were conducted where true to (g)assbag form their was more pontificating from the (g)assbags than hearing. Then the 9-11 commission was formed to spread blame evenly and hold no one particularly accountable.

The whole point was for the (g)assbags to have a forum from which to pontificate and show the folks back home how tough they could be. As a result the (g)assbags missed the crucial point. It was they who allowed or at least significantly contributed to allowing the 9-11 disaster. The Church amendment neutered CIA human intell efforts and the Reno Justice Department’s “wall” preventing the CIA and FBI from cooperating ensured the Saudi jihadis’ success. Did anyone call anyone who voted for Church’s idiotic amendment on the carpet and interrogate them? Hell NO. (G)assbags are a protected class particularly at “hearings” conducted by other (g)assbags.

This week the (g)assbags were at it again. This time they were feigning outrage over the cost of gas. The (g)assbags had the heads of all of the American oil companies up on the hill where the execs were assaulted by the likes of RC Durbin and what passes as an intellectual giant among Dems Maxine Waters.

The (g)assbags laid the wood to the execs blaming the oil companies for the high cost of gas. Preening for the cameras the (g)assbags tried to outdo each other in their contempt for these private Americans citizens who run the companies who provide oil on nearly every street corner in America. Never once did anyone ask, “How many Americans are invested in your company today?” or “Do you have an obligation to your share holders to take a reasonable profit?”

Never was there a question directed at the (g)assbags who by their slavish loyalty to the eco-nut fringe prevent any new drilling, any new refinery capacity, any nuclear construction, any coal gasification, any clean coal technology, any deregulation of fuel blends, any distribution plan for hydrogen or any R&D for a fossil fuel substitute that doesn’t include burning our food supply as an alternative to burning the resources perfectly suited to the purpose of running automobiles.

Rather than address the true problem – exploiting our natural resource to ease demand – the (g)assbags decided to, excuse this, throw fuel on the fire by allowing the Justice Department to sue OPEC for price fixing. I’m sure OPEC will just sit back and take that. They won’t drive costs higher by withholding more supply. They won’t stop bailing out our banks who made bad home loans – because the (g)assbags told the banks they had to.

What is clear to everyone but the (g)assbags is that we need more supply. And rather than begging the Saudis to provide more oil so that we can pay them a $136 a barrel - that they reinvest in madrases here in the US and other Western countries to teach radical Wahabism – we should be getting our own damn oil!

The (g)assbags are the problem. When they hold “hearings” they do everything but listen.
