Stream of consciousness

The first debate was won going away by my gal Carly.

All the candidates did well.  All represented themselves well including - to my surprise - Lindsey Graham and Mike Huckabee.

The moderators at the first debate – Bill Hemmer and Martha McCallum - were by far, far, far and away better than Baier, Kelly and Wallace who ran the second debate.

The 10 minute intro to the second debate on the Fox News Channel was amateur hour at its worse.  It was embarrassing.  Who ever produced that 10 minutes of cringe worthy TV should be parking cars this morning.

It was pretty obvious that the second group was trying to take the Donald out.

Now if the talking heads - Charles Krauthammer, George Will, Steve Hayes, Kevin Williamson et al (all of whom I like) - would just let the process play out without all of the anti-Trump hyperventilation.  It’ll sort itself out without the vitriol.

Whatever else anyone says about the Donald, he’s driving the debate.  He’s brought attention to the race.  Let it go.

It was also obvious that the three moderators were more interested in stirring up conflict between the candidates than getting honest answers to honest questions.

I don’t know what the big deal is about Trump saying he wouldn’t rule out a third party run.  That threat is the only thing keeping the RNC and establishment Rat Republicans playing nice.  Once Trump says he’ll support the nominee, they could pull their usual BS like running ads calling conservative primary candidates racists, like they did in MS.

Rand Paul came off like an old man yelling at kids to get off his lawn.  It was pretty clear he was looking for a fight.  Fiorina is likely to have his spot on the stage next time.

My guy Cruz won – easily.

Ben Carson was fantastic.

Marco Rubio resurrected himself.

I would vote for any of the 17 before I even considered voting for the Shrilldabeast.

Kelly’s self-congratulatory after show was as bad as or worse than her performance as a moderator.  Terrible.  Horrible.  The worst.
